Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. The wait between drinks and the meal was appreciated. And the meal... absolutely excellent. If you want to eat good couscous, go nowhere else but Baloua in Douai. We come two or three times a year and it's always a treat. Thank you.

The food was good, but the wait was interminable—an hour's wait for our dishes, and not even a gesture of goodwill. No starter or dessert. We ordered three teas; they could have offered them to us free of charge. The service was poor.

An excellent experience at this Douai restaurant. We received a very warm welcome and the setting is truly lovely. The food is delicious and plentiful. We particularly appreciated the presentation of the dishes, especially the tagine served in a beautiful terracotta dish. Everything was delicious and perfectly seasoned. This is a place I highly recommend. We will gladly return to try other specialties.

Excellent oriental restaurant! We enjoy it every time we visit. The dishes are generous, flavorful, and prepared with care. The welcome is warm. A very good place that I recommend without hesitation. We will gladly return! 😊 And of course, Ben, who is always absolutely fantastic!!!!!!!!! We are always delighted to see him!! Thinking of our Momo, whom we miss terribly.

26/06/2026: An excellent restaurant in Douai. We had a wonderful time at this establishment, where the welcome was warm and the setting truly unique. The meal was delicious, with perfectly balanced flavors. I particularly enjoyed the chicken, which was tender and beautifully presented on a thoughtfully decorated plate. The service was attentive, especially when the mint tea was served in the traditional way. A great find that I highly recommend.
