Good place for cappuccino across from Victor Hugo Market.

The atmosphere is fantastic, plus the location in Carmes is pleasant and convenient. The coffee is a bit pricey, but considering the café's location, it's not outrageous. It's often crowded, but the terrace is quite large, so it's not difficult to find a seat at any time of day.

Just drinks. No food. Great corner location for people watching while you are having a drink before dinner.

I must say I just don't understand the negative reviews here. I think this is a wonderful bar where you are quickly known and welcomed as a regular. I go several times a week for coffee and drinks and the experience is always top quality. It's a bar where I feel like a member of the family, and Ines and Fabrice certainly treat me like that. I suspect some of the bad reviews and incidents described here are the result of too much alcohol consumption by the customers in the evenings. I very much recommend this bar as a friendly place to come and meet your neighbours from the quartier. It's a real gem of a local institution.
