Le Baratin sur Amiens

Ate here for lunch. Very pleasant service and excellent mussels

I initially gave this restaurant on the banks of the Somme a 5 out of 5 after an incredible first visit. The menu offered few dishes, but they were of very high quality and truly generous portions. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed on my last visit. The portions have become smaller, less substantial, and the decline in quality is noticeable given the prices, marking a clear shrinkflation compared to previous years. My rating has therefore been reduced from 5 to 3, as it's a real shame for an establishment that used to be a must-try for me.

Mussels marinière / chorizo ​​/ Maroilles cheese – all excellent. The service was a bit slow, but there are only two of them.

We had a wonderful time at Le Baratin! We were served by Philippe, our friendly Southerner with a big smile, who created a fantastic atmosphere throughout the meal. The food was excellent, living up to the restaurant's reputation. But what really made the difference was Philippe's warm and funny service. He had us laughing from beginning to end and made our dinner particularly enjoyable. Thank you for sharing this experience and for your great humor; it's moments like these that make a restaurant unforgettable. We'll gladly return, if only to experience it again! A truly wonderful experience. Having come from Le Havre, searching for an apartment to settle our son in Amiens for his studies, we had lunch on the quayside and discovered this excellent establishment. The dishes are delicious and generous. The staff is incredibly attentive. A special mention for the kindness shown to a customer with a charming Marseilles accent; thank you for your smile and your warm welcome! 😃 We look forward to returning.

Pleasantly surprised. A wonderful welcome. No rush, no pressure to free up the table to make a quick profit. The mussels were excellent. And I'll say it again, a wonderful welcome. I was certainly greeted by the owner. And very well served by a smiling and very friendly young man.

Quality food, friendly service and more than reasonable prices

A lovely evening with my husband at this restaurant on the banks of the Somme. The waiter was very attentive to his customers. Initially, he seated us in the middle of the terrace, but no sooner had we settled in than a table for four became available by the water. We politely asked if it would be possible to move to that table, and the extremely accommodating waiter quickly rearranged the table, separating it so we had our own little table for two by the water. The meal was delicious; the steak with fries, endive, salad, and pepper sauce was amazing. The ice cream sundaes and café liégeois were very refreshing in the heat. All this was topped off with a wonderful sunset at the end of the afternoon. Thank you for this lovely time! 😍 I highly recommend this restaurant! 👍
