A huge thank you to the entire team at Le Baryon! We spent a whole week there, eating lunch and dinner, and every meal was pure bliss.
The food is excellent, but it's the warm welcome that truly makes all the difference. A special mention, and a huge shout-out, to the managers, Nico and Max. These three are simply fantastic: professional, responsive, and incredibly friendly. They made our stay in La Plagne even more memorable.
If you're looking for a place with great food and a fantastic atmosphere, look no further! We'll definitely be back. ⛷️🍴

Went to Le Baryon in La Plagne Soleil after skiing and it was perfect. Cozy chalet vibe, not too loud, a bit smoky from the hot stone grill but that’s fine.
I had the lamb shank with rosemary, thyme and honey—so tender it basically fell apart, super flavorful but not greasy. Service was fast and friendly, staff joked around just enough.
If you’re in the area and hungry after the slopes, definitely check it out.

We came for lunch one day, and the service was fantastic and quick! We also came every day for a quick coffee break; the staff were very kind and pleasant.
And to top it all off, we ate there one evening. There were 11 of us, and the service was truly superb.
It was the best welcome we've ever received!
I highly recommend this establishment! It's an excellent place!

The staff were efficient and very pleasant. The portions were generous, and every request was fulfilled quickly.

The restaurant itself was very nice, the food was very good, and while the price was a bit high, it was still quite reasonable for a restaurant in a ski resort. The major drawback was the atmosphere, which left much to be desired – the music, the service, and everything else (but that's not what makes a good experience). My only regret is that we couldn't have dessert. No one informed us that the kitchen had closed, and we were left waiting for a server to come and ask about our order, but nothing happened. Then, after a 20-minute wait, the server finally told us we wouldn't be getting any more.

I have very mixed feelings about this restaurant. On the plus side: a lovely sunny terrace, set back a bit from the other restaurants, so it's quieter. However, I think there's a staffing issue because the service was very slow even though there weren't many customers. The daily specials were decent (we tried several), but otherwise, the other dishes weren't cooked enough or hot enough (the cheese was grainy...). The waitress was nice but inexperienced. Dishes we ordered weren't sent to the kitchen; we had to ask several times. It's a shame because otherwise the manager is friendly, but this restaurant leaves us with a feeling of amateurism. Given the prices, we would expect more professionalism in the service, but especially in the kitchen.

The Baryon is my “go to” restaurant in Plagne Soleil for many reasons. The food is all homemade and authentic whether it is Savoyardes specialties like raclette or tartiflette, or my favorite the duck breast or not very traditional but delicious the tuna tataki. Also the service is friendly and multilingual, English, Spanish and of course French!

The restaurant has an authentic decor, but I wouldn't recommend it for the food. I ordered a croziflette, but they replaced the Reblochon cheese with grated cheese (probably Emmental), which was extremely disappointing and unacceptable. Especially since the menu clearly stated it was made with Reblochon. I had a similar experience the previous year with a tartiflette that was undercooked and extremely runny, but apparently it was better this year.
