A wonderful experience with the lunch menu; the dishes were generous, excellent, and beautifully presented. The service was friendly and perfectly timed. I highly recommend this place if you're visiting the Tarn region.

Every so often we find a treasure in an unexpected place! Lou Bass Plat is an exceptional restaurant located in the small town of Alban in the Tarn. Just recently, a friend recommended this restaurant to me. His words were, " this is one of the best restaurants in the Tarn!" With such a recommandation, I had to experience a meal there myself. He was absolutely correct! First of all, the location itself is very warm and inviting. You are greeted with a smile and immediately made to feel "at home". You have the option to sit indoors or out on the terrasse. We chose the full menu offered that day and were delighted to see that you were offered three choices for every course. I found the menu very exciting as I was about to enjoy options I had never experienced before. When each course arrived, the presentation alone was impressive however, the combination of flavours was beyond words! The pricing for the full menu was a surprise to me! I have dined in 5 star restaurants, who charge triple this amount and are unable to deliver this quality of cuisine. Everything was fresh, homemade, flavourful,and beautifully presented. The service was warm, friendly and impeccable. The atmosphère was very inviting and comfortable. The perfect package! Lou Bass Plat has now officially become one of my favourite all time restaurants and I will be returning as often as possible. If ever you travel through the Tarn, then please do yourself a favour and find your way to Alban to experience this hidden gem.
