March 2026. It had been a few years since I'd been back to Le Beauvoir, which, for me, was the best restaurant in Bourges. This return visit today confirmed my opinion! Everything on the plate was delicious, you can feel the pleasure of their hospitality, and the decor and atmosphere make you feel truly comfortable. Thank you!

This is a great restaurant. Some exceptional food served by attentive staff. We had the tasting menu and, although not advertised, were offered matching wines by the glass for each course and were not disappointed - some of the best wine pairing we have had. There was really nothing to fault here.

Everything was tiny, but not the price!
Duck breasts were served with four miniature fries, artfully cut from half a potato. The fish was served with a few meager pieces of vegetables swimming in a gazpacho reminiscent of Alvalle; the combination of cream and gazpacho wasn't great. The strawberry dessert was best enjoyed with a magnifying glass (a strawberry cut into quarters paired with a thimbleful of tasteless ice cream). But the chocolate soufflé deserves a mention. The dining room was very noisy.
