Le Bec a vin sur Uzes

Couldn’t find a table we liked in the square. Walked up an alleyway and stumbled upon this unassuming place with a Gault et Millau window sticker. Tasteful decor, barrel vaulted ceiling and a very fine wine menu (fine entry price bottles up to top class). Set menu @ €25: Jambon with a sweet potato salad starter, pork belly on creamy risotto with a chorizo (just enough to add piquancy)sauce and a black currant mousse with red berry coulis. All beautifully presented and delicious! Fantastic salt crust bread. Would recommend highly for romantic dinner a deux as well as lunch.

Fantastic little restaurant to discover: very nice wine list, efficient and hearty cuisine, magnificent room and impeccable service. I recommend without reservations!

The setting is superb, with small courtyards surrounded by imposing old walls. The menu is varied and sometimes surprising. Despite a few seasoning errors, we had a pleasant time, especially thanks to the impressive wine list. We are considering going back.

Good morning, We came in September but I regularly think about our meal so I don't leave a review! We were seated on the terrace, which immediately delighted us. The place is perfect, in an intimate but at the same time warm setting, the charm of the stone and the beauty of the vaults are there. The service is no-fuss and full of good advice. But the star of this place is still the cuisine, of the 4 people ranging from the most demanding palate to the most accommodating, all were won over without discussion! Don't be suspicious of the pretty photos of our dishes, you will have exactly the same pleasure looking at your plates as you will tasting them. From starters to desserts and the wine list, everything was there! The bill may seem salty (which we owe in part thanks/because of our wine choices) but it is nothing compared to the sweets that you will savor Come get lost in this picturesque little street and you will surely find the entrance to culinary paradise!

Excellent gourmet restaurant. Fine dishes, prepared in a typical Uzes setting. Very good wines too. An affordable lunch menu at €25. Quite a few choices on the menu.
