Le Beffroi sur Thionville

I often come to Le Beffroi, and out of respect, so as not to overstep my bounds, I'm giving it 3 stars. However, your waiter, bouncer, or whoever it is, who speaks to people like dogs just because we sit down at a table, I find that unacceptable. We simply sat down at 12:15 AM for a drink, and this gentleman in red came up to us very aggressively, saying, "We're not serving anymore, there's no point in sitting down." We instinctively checked the time, and he replied, "There's no point in looking at the time, I'm telling you, we're not serving anymore, that's all." A little respect for customers, who are just asking for a drink without realizing it's closed because it was busy, isn't too much to ask. This isn't the first time I've heard about him, and this time, I've had proof. This needs to change, because it's a real shame, for a place that is otherwise decent.

A very nice bar right in the center of Chambly. The decor is truly original and cozy, with a lovely atmosphere and a pleasant terrace. The staff are a little lazy at times, but it's easily forgiven given the atmosphere of the place. The only major drawback concerns the restrooms, which I found extremely dirty. The smell and hygiene are truly deplorable. Unfortunately, this is the only real negative point about this bar.

The place is great, the decor is adorable, and the staff are attentive and very polite! They asked for my ID when I wanted to order an alcoholic drink, just to be safe, even though I'm of legal drinking age—great initiative! 🥰🥰

Cool bar in Thionville to relax with family and friends and for people watching. I prefer sitting at it's terrace in summer. You can get ice cream next door.

I love going there for a drink with friends. The decor is very unique, but it fits the style of the bar. 😉 I really like it.

The Belfry is the historic heart of Thionville... and it's changed in recent years. It's been expanded by incorporating the former stove and oil-fired heater shop, whose unfinished design still hints at a bygone era that those under twenty... well, you know. There's a big bar to lean on, servers who always have a friendly word... and who work incredibly fast during the rush, pretzels included. It's a great place to hang out, with a lively atmosphere, and cozy lounges to relax with friends or enjoy a quiet drink alone at the bar. Here and there, you'll hear snippets of conversation and jokes. Occasionally, there are some annoying customers, but they're quickly dealt with by the weekend bouncer. My only slight disappointment is that out of ten taps, there isn't a single local beer: only those from the far too wealthy Heineken group.
