A last-minute craving: to enjoy spaghetti and lobster on the terrace in an atmosphere reminiscent of Ajaccio in the 70s and 80s. A successful evening. We laughed at our wobbly tables, even though they were lovingly set: there was plenty of room to put elbows, to sit side-by-side, even as a couple. It must be said that we excel at this: we always end up at the wobbly table, no matter the restaurant. That little anecdote aside, we appreciated everything: the generosity was evident from the moment we arrived until we left. Tino Rossi at the entrance and Aznavou at the exit—even the playlist was respectful of the decor. Here, everything has been designed to make you feel at home. Now, the dish... Unique in many ways. It's a single-course menu: but WHAT DISH? We had already tried lobster in Bonifacio, Bastia la Citadelle, and Centuri, but the generosity, taste, and freshness of this offering take the prize! A delicious moment from beginning to end... We will definitely be back.

“Bilbocq chez Jean Jean” is an unusual restaurant, tucked away in a courtyard, that relies heavily on a traditional Corsican atmosphere. The music of Tino Rossi, ever-present throughout the meal, contributes to this identity, even if it might not appeal to everyone. The concept is simple: a set menu featuring lobster served with spaghetti in tomato sauce. The portions are generous, and the amount of lobster is undeniably substantial. However, at €75 per person, we expected a more refined culinary experience. The pasta and tomato sauce seemed rather conventional, lacking any particularly memorable elements. The bill came to €380 for four people, including a bottle of wine, two desserts, and two bottles of water. Considering the overall experience, we were not convinced by the value for money. The establishment has a unique atmosphere that will likely appeal to those who appreciate friendly and authentic experiences. For our part, despite the generous portions and the character of the place, the dining experience did not live up to our expectations.

A timeless moment... a magical place... and always the wonderful lobster pasta 🤩🤩🤩🤩 I used to come here 30 years ago with my parents, it's a real pleasure to rediscover this atmosphere, these photos, and to enjoy the food again and again... Thank you for keeping this unique experience alive 🙏🙏🙏

A quick trip from Paris to Ajaccio and we were seated at a table enjoying the Corsican lobster from Jean Jean at Bilboq. A must-visit, highly recommended spot. The atmosphere is fantastic, with a set menu of grilled or sauced lobster served with pasta and caramel flan for everyone for dessert. The sauce is perfectly seasoned, the lobster is kept warm, and the portions are generous. We loved it! See you next year... And once again, we had a wonderful meal! The weather didn't allow us to eat outside, but the atmosphere was warm and, as always, we had a fantastic time.
