Passing through Étretat, we booked a table at this restaurant a few weeks ago. We were returning from vacation, and it was the only restaurant we wanted to try. It's best to book in advance, as the restaurant is very popular. We received a very warm welcome. We were served promptly. I really appreciated being offered still or sparkling water, either by the carafe or in a bottle of Evian. Very few restaurants do this; usually, it's just bottled water. The Chablis was excellent. We were with our child, who thoroughly enjoyed everything from the main course to dessert. We ordered fish (sea bass fillet and trout), and it was superb, as were the vegetables. The desserts were very good. Special mention goes to the French toast-style brioche with salted caramel. I understand the coffee was also excellent. The restrooms are clean, which is important. If you're visiting Étretat, I highly recommend Le Bistretatais. You'll receive a very warm welcome and enjoy a delicious meal. We prefer this type of restaurant and always avoid those located directly on the seafront, which are mostly tourist traps that rely solely on their location. Special mention for the ride ticket. We appreciated this thoughtful touch.

A quiet street away from the tourist crowds, a cozy atmosphere, a staff that seems genuinely happy to be there, and the signature Bénérhina cocktail on the menu: the Palais Bénédictine. Smooth, complex, with aromas of herbs and spices that make you want to linger. The fish comes from the port of Fécamp, and everything is homemade. What few people know: the Palais Bénédictine is just twenty minutes away. A tour of the cellars, a working distillery, a tasting at the end, and you'll find that exact same taste in your glass. A perfect loop. Don't visit Normandy without experiencing both.

The service is truly excellent. The staff is welcoming, attentive, and very professional. From the moment we arrived until we left, they were courteous and responded to all our requests with a smile. However, the food leaves a little to be desired. While the dishes are beautifully presented, they lack that certain something in terms of flavor. The ingredients seem to be of good quality, but the seasonings and combinations aren't quite right. It's a shame, because with a few adjustments, this restaurant could really stand out. In short, if you're looking for a place with impeccable service, you won't be disappointed. As for the food, there's still room for improvement.

Great place to spend a lovely evening! The service is incredibly friendly, the food is delicious, and what can we say about the atmosphere created by the owner! We highly recommend it!

Everything is very good and fresh, but be warned if you have a big appetite about the portion sizes: when they say dishes are served with potatoes and vegetables, it's a small side dish (like in a gourmet restaurant), so you'll be disappointed. Opt for dishes with fries if you're hungry. We all had to order desserts to make up for it (but they were incredible too).

Excellent restaurant with generous portions, in a great atmosphere

What a wonderful discovery this little restaurant in Étretat was! We had dinner with friends for New Year's Eve. Everything was excellent, from the appetizers to the dessert: kudos to the chef! The staff were perfect—friendly, attentive, and the atmosphere was calm and pleasant. We highly recommend it and will definitely be back!

Welcoming for tourists, not just locals, which is great after walking a ton sightseeing around. Food is great, and the servers try their best to speak English.
