An unusual place that perfectly embodies what you'd expect from a bistro. The owner and staff are friendly without being intrusive (no "Is everything alright?" every five minutes). The bistro dishes are prepared with a touch of gourmet flair. I left feeling satisfied; the portions are generous. Highly recommended!

Excellent typical French lunch. We tried the set menu and were pleasantly surprised by each course. The oeuf a mollet and the fish with white sauce were delicious. The gateau Nantais was also a nice discovery. Friendly service and welcoming, cheerful staff. Fair prices, highly recommended.

The food is really quite good, and the price-quality ratio is reasonable. I was surprised by the generous portions. That's rather unusual in restaurants these days. Which leads me to give it a 5/5. I recommend it and will definitely return.

A warm welcome, a decor I love, fresh dishes that change weekly—it's delicious, the portions are generous, and the price remains very reasonable considering the quality and quantity. The service is impeccable. For me, one of the best places to eat in Nantes.

19/08/2026: A pleasant evening outdoors with a very warm welcome and excellent service. The meal was good, although the price didn't seem justified in my opinion, or perhaps it needed a bit more attention to detail (the gravlax starter was more visually appealing than the crispy reblochon and apricot dish, for example – the folding and presentation were poor – a subtle hint of the interior in the glaze would have been nice). However, the lemon curd dessert was a real highlight. It was good, but I was a little disappointed by the presentation. The dining room itself was beautiful, unique, and well-maintained. Thank you for your alert.

Restaurant République Côté Jardin

18/09/2026: Fabulous, everything was perfect. The food was delicious, from appetizer to dessert. The welcome was warm, and the staff very attentive. At the back of the restaurant, you can have lunch on a quiet outdoor terrace. It was a fabulous experience; I will definitely be back. Thank you.
