Beautiful farmhouse, and top-notch staff

Although I'm English and speak very little French, the front-of-house and kitchen staff were incredibly welcoming and understanding. My youngest son has food allergies, and they took the time to go over the menu with us to make sure we understood what he could and couldn't eat, taking into account the risk of cross-contamination. I really appreciated them taking the time for us. In the end, they agreed to let my son eat a meal brought from outside because of his allergies, which allowed us to enjoy the menu ourselves. This service alone deserves 5 stars. We were even able to pre-order our meals while we went to pick up our son's lunch. When we returned, we were greeted with the same warm hospitality. They also prepared pasta with tomato sauce as a children's menu option instead of the usual nuggets and fries—a real treat for us. Sometimes in life, it's the simple things that make all the difference. On vacation, we usually drink Evian from plastic bottles, but having it served in beautiful, chilled glass bottles truly enhances the occasion and the dining experience. The food itself was exceptional, and the service beforehand had already set the bar very high. As tourists in the area, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the hospitality we received. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone visiting the region.

Impeccable and friendly service. Limited choice of dishes... The "Corsican" charcuterie and cheese board, where none of the products really tasted like Corsican products, and there was no figatelli or brie 🤔 The pesto pizza had absolutely no pesto flavor. The ice cream was average; the yogurt ice cream had a slightly rancid taste... In short, a mixed review, far below what it used to be in terms of taste and especially the limited choice of dishes. 🥺

Excellent meal: good and generous portions. Simple but delicious, all served with a smile and attention – it's hard to do better.

Honestly, we were just passing through the area and at Bistrot de Mathieu we found everything we hope to find in a restaurant: a warm and friendly welcome, precise order taking, helpful advice and delicious wine, cleanliness, quality, excellent food, and a charming setting on the shaded terrace. The interior is lovely too! Well done to the whole team for this flawless experience!

A very nice restaurant with a lovely shaded terrace and ample parking (with a car charging station opposite). A warm welcome from the entire team, but especially from the waitress who took the time to suggest some activities to do in the area. Thank you very much.

We had a good time there. Small menu with a variety of products. The food is good. The service was a bit disorganized. The tables are rather small. Nice place.
