Good place, very welcoming and friendly service. The roast beef was excellent. I also recommend the fig tart for dessert. Affordable prices. Note that the terrace is on a slope, so you'll need to use the provided leveling blocks.

I absolutely loved everything! The café is located practically in the heart of Nîmes, right next to an ancient Roman temple. The portions are truly huge. We ordered a salad, and one serving was more than enough for two. The salad itself was delicious and varied: red fish, fresh herbs, vegetables, and other ingredients. All the ingredients were fresh, and they even served bread with the salad. And all this for just 14 euros for such a huge portion! Excellent value for money, especially considering the location practically in the city center. We were very pleased and will likely return for another meal tomorrow.

The servers were pleasant but overwhelmed with the restaurant being full, and the owner was very welcoming, but there were two drawbacks: 1) smoking at tables on the terrace facing the street, which, being very narrow, made the tables very close together. 2) a very good salad and the daily special (spider steak) had good flavor, but the meat was so sinewy that I had trouble cutting it with a steak knife... overall, a mixed review, to be seen again on a future visit.
