Special May Day menu: a real treat! A relaxing moment with my three girlfriends. A delicious starter of beautifully presented salmon; Divine sweetbreads in a pastry crust served with a mushroom sauce, potatoes, and green beans. To finish, I treated myself to a homemade chocolate mousse: pure bliss!

For the price range, the food was good. The gizzard appetizer was delicious, with piping hot gizzards and a fresh salad. The main course was a steak ordered rare but more like blue, though not very stringy. The potatoes were very good. The desserts were excellent. The service was appropriate, polite, and discreet. The atmosphere was cheerful, with regulars getting along well with the staff. The price was reasonable. The portions were perfect. A good experience.

Excellent, hearty meal, only downside was the chef walking around the dining room in a spotless t-shirt covered in stains; a chef's jacket would have been perfect.
