At the Bistrot du Port, you are warmly welcomed, with a decoration that makes you nostalgic as it reminds us of the time of our grandparents. The cuisine is not left out, with traditional dishes,
For my part, it was a mimosa egg, then veal kidneys flambéed in cognac. I had a blast!!!
If you pass through the old port of La Rochelle, don't hesitate to stop at this beautiful place that is Le Bistrot du Port

We arrived this afternoon without reservation for two people and we were placed inside on the ground floor without problem.
We ate very well, impeccable service, nice background music despite the storm.

A visit to La Rochelle allowed us to meet this restaurant and the kindness of the whole team, a very good menu, respected cooking, a super friendly atmosphere, childhood memories came back for the starter of the curly salad with bacon, thanks to everyone for your kindness we will come back and I recommend 1000%

The oysters and the terrine we had as starters were nice. We loved sitting on the terrace with the red and white checkered table cloths. I ordered the duck as a main course and my friend went for the mixed grill. I have to be honest, both dishes were really disappointing. The mixed grill only consisted of two small pieces of meat (one of the pieces being the same duck that I had) and the duck was not tender a all. The meat really was too tough. What a disappointment for a meat restaurant.
Service was friendly and efficient and spoke English very well.

Un très bon resto / bistrot qui offre des plats bons et copieux.
L'ambiance est très brasserie donc, il y a du bruit, c'est vivant, vous êtes un peu proche de vos voisins de table... mais c'est ce qui fait le charme de ce type de lieu.
Le service est ultra efficace et plus qu'agréable.
Bref, nous avons apprécié notre passage au bistrot du port et le recommandons sans problème.
