Le Bistrot du port sur Vallauris

I dined at this restaurant for the first time last night with my wife. There were no tables available when I called, but the owner, D, kindly called me back 5 minutes later to tell me he had found us a table since we were coming from Monaco and had been recommended to dine there. A warm welcome, a lovely table with a view of the port, a clean restaurant with a simple and minimalist setting. We were quickly taken care of, with water and squid ink bread and homemade seaweed butter (I think)... a very good start! The menu isn't very extensive, but their strength is the catch of the day, offered three different ways of cooking, all homemade and cooked to order. We chose sea bream with a saffron and leek broth, which was extremely well-balanced, served with rouille and croutons. For dessert, we had beignets with their three homemade jams, red berries, and homemade whipped cream. What impressed me most on the sweet side was their pre-dessert: a small panna cotta with lemon and oyster sorbet. Believe me, the balance of the three flavors was fabulous. I'm a restaurant manager in Monaco and have been in the restaurant industry for 20 years, and I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant with a 10/10 rating! I had the pleasure of meeting the chef and his team, who were very friendly. Thank you again, and we'll see you very soon!

A fantastic experience at Bistrot du Port! It's always a great pleasure to eat here. The chef manages to surprise us every time with excellent cuisine. For this visit, we tried the "carte blanche" menu, letting ourselves be guided by his inspirations, and it was a complete success: we enjoyed every bite from start to finish. Never disappointed, we highly recommend this restaurant in Golfe-Juan!

Lunch on the terrace at Bistrot du Port, chef Mathieu Allinei's establishment: pure bliss 😋. Between the crispy fried smelt, the flavorful bouillabaisse with red mullet and capon, and the sea urchin for dessert, I experienced a truly indulgent moment. All this in a superb setting, with impeccable service. A real gem 😊.

A decent gourmet restaurant. Interesting dishes with a maritime theme. All dishes are well-chosen and perfectly paired with flavors. The service is excellent, up to par. However, the prices seemed a bit high.

An absolutely exceptional experience from start to finish! An elegant and soothing setting, attentive and perfectly executed service, and above all… simply remarkable cuisine. Each dish is conceived with simplicity, finesse, creativity, and precision, with surprising and perfectly balanced flavor combinations. You can taste the genuine artistry, the mastery of technique, and the passion in every plate. The menu was a truly sensory experience, refined and full of emotion. Special mention goes to the quality of the ingredients and the presentation, as beautiful as it was delicious. We will definitely be back to try the bouillabaisse!
