We arrived just a little too late for lunch, but the owner/chef of **Le Bœuf Chantant** welcomed us with a smile and prepared a **beef tartare (200 g)** especially for us. That flexibility and hospitality alone makes this place special. The tartare could be **customized entirely to your own taste**, with all ingredients served separately. The meat was super fresh, had a perfect texture, and clearly came from a real artisan butcher. A pure, classic tartare like you only find in France. We ate outside in the sun, accompanied by a delicious glass of rosé, and enjoyed the quiet atmosphere of Saint-Paul-lez-Durance. Simplicity, quality, and friendliness come together here — no fuss, no tourist crowds, just truly good food prepared by someone who knows their craft. **Highly recommended if you are in or around Saint-Paul-lez-Durance.**

Fast service despite the crowds, incredibly tender and melt-in-your-mouth meats, carpaccio, and steak, reasonable prices, and the owner's warm welcome is worth the trip! PS: Just a little dim lighting...

Great meat. A bit long, but worth it.

A charming canteen with a friendly atmosphere. You enter by passing a butcher's stall that's part of the restaurant. Seeing the restaurant full of workers seated at tables, you assume the prices will be reasonable. And they are. €68 for two for a starter, main course, a glass of wine, fresh cheese, and coffee. The portions are generous and the side dishes plentiful. The service is very quick (as expected for a restaurant where employees come for a quick lunch). The meat is very good and fresh. Our herring and potato starter was beautifully presented. All the servers are friendly and efficient. Everything was great!
