We used to come to Le Bois Doré in Valbonne and had always been satisfied with the welcome, the service, and the food. Unfortunately, our last visit was disappointing.
Several mistakes occurred during the meal: poor wine selection for the aperitif, confusion regarding the starters, and a problem with the cooking of the duck breasts, which had been clearly specified in the order. What bothered us most wasn't so much that mistakes could happen, but the lack of apology and the impression that the blame was systematically placed on the customer.
It's a shame, because we came with friends and had previously had a very good impression of this restaurant. We hope this was an isolated incident.

What a wonderful discovery! Everything was perfect. The setting is so lovely, the service is top-notch thanks to the kindness and competence of the staff. The food is EXCELLENT! There's no pressure between the aperitif and the main course. You have time to eat at your leisure and enjoy your evening.
I recommend this restaurant 200%! We'll definitely be back because it has everything you need for a wonderful evening.

Nice setting. Close to the road but keeps a good distance from it. Attentive servers without being annoying. Quick, but doesn't feel rushed. Relatively quiet compared to some similar spots around here, filled mostly with locals and a couple of people meeting up.
Tasty foie gras with warm brioche and onion jam. Delicious rump of veal with an even better sauce. Apple tart was good, but nothing special.
Solid pricing. Already planning to come back.

A very pleasant place, the service was excellent, and the food was delicious. They even added a little something extra for a birthday celebration with music. We'll definitely be back!

I celebrated my 70th birthday on August 23rd. There were 17 of us, and we were all very pleased with the quality of the delicious food and the excellent service. Thank you to Didier for his kindness and professionalism, as well as to the staff who looked after our table.
Thank you also to Cédric, who was very attentive to our requests.
