Le Bois Gourmand sur Champagnole

What a wonderful experience it was to stay in this magnificent place. Everything was perfect, from the welcome to the breakfast and the comfort of the night.

Sleeping Beauty, what can I say? 🤣 It's true, it's about a twenty-minute walk from the train station, but you'll discover a warm and pleasant place nestled among the trees. The welcome was incredibly kind, the meal excellent, and the room comfortable. Absolutely nothing to complain about. Bravo!

We spent one night in the Deluxe room with a Nordic bath. A very nice and quiet room. Access to the pool area, sauna, and hammam was included in the price, and the room was also clean and quiet. The breakfast was varied and good. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

Overall, a very pleasant stay at the Hôtel des Bois Dormants. The staff is attentive, friendly, and helpful. The spa area is a real plus: the pool, jacuzzi, and sauna offer a truly relaxing break. The daily housekeeping is also appreciated. However, the room was a little small, and the lack of a welcome tray was regrettable. While now standard, even in more modest establishments, this detail greatly contributes to the comfort and perceived quality. I should mention that I did not try the restaurant or the breakfast. Overall, a positive experience, with a few areas for improvement to fully meet expectations.

We stopped at this hotel on our way back from skiing. We chose it for the pool, so the children could let off some steam before our long drive home. The food is very good, the restaurant is excellent with impeccable service. The rooms are dated, very poorly soundproofed, but very clean. However, we were very disappointed to be charged an extra €35 for access to the pool… the room prices are already quite high, in my opinion! Their only response was: "Water is expensive these days!" I should point out that we called to book and this surcharge was never mentioned to us! This is an address to avoid; the price is completely disproportionate to the services offered! I'm not usually one to leave reviews, but we don't appreciate being taken for a ride!
