02/03/2026: I really enjoyed this place. The streets are clean and orderly, making it very easy to explore on foot. There are small cafes and bakeries around, ideal for a break. It's quieter in the mornings, getting a bit crowded in the afternoons, but not to an annoying degree.
The architectural details are striking, especially the old stone buildings, which make for a beautiful backdrop for photos. It's easy to get there by public transport, close to a metro exit. There are markets, souvenir shops, and seating areas nearby.
Prices are average for Paris, not very cheap but not excessively expensive either. It's a suitable spot for those who want to take a short walk and experience the city. The atmosphere is especially pleasant in the evening light. A calm and enjoyable stop that visitors to Paris can add to their itinerary.
22/02/2026: For 40 years, I've been going to this restaurant, which was a Belleville institution. It's true that in recent years, the food wasn't as good. But for the past few months, it's been returning to its former glory. Everything isn't perfect, but here are my favorite dishes: the hakao (fried shrimp dumplings with mayonnaise), the Peking duck served in two courses with stir-fried noodles, and the steamed turbot.
