Le Bontemps sur La Roche-Chalais

To avoid ending on a sour note, we came back and this time it was excellent.

Fantastic restaurant, we had a wonderful meal! 😍 The ingredients are fresh, everything is truly excellent, and you can tell it's homemade. The staff and manager are lovely and very welcoming, and the atmosphere is really pleasant. We had a great time! I highly recommend it, and we'll definitely be back!

We had a feast fit for a king. A covered and air-conditioned terrace. A warm welcome. A starter buffet with plenty of choice. The main course was very generous and absolutely delicious. And the chocolate mousse—what a delight! A children's menu that lived up to my son's expectations; he devoured everything. Admittedly, the wait between courses was perhaps a little long, but in the end, it was good because it gave my stomach time to adjust for the rest of the meal. The bill was more than reasonable for four people. A magnificent restaurant, excellent food, a lovely welcome, and very reasonable prices. After that, you just have to relax and enjoy the experience, or at least let them know your schedule if you have any, and I'm sure we can work something out. Putting yourself in other people's shoes, wondering what you would have done in their place, isn't something everyone can do. We will be back.

Congratulations on the €18 lunch special! Simple and effective! Fresh ingredients! Despite a full house, the service was very quick and, above all, very pleasant. See you soon! 😊

A wonderful culinary experience... thank you again

Enjoyable solo lunch. Delicious meal, pleasant staff

We ate at this restaurant tonight and had a good time. The food was good, a little pricey but very good. However, we had to cut our meal short because it was unbearably hot in the dining room; the air conditioning needs to be checked. The table next to us was also suffering terribly. It's a shame, it's a real disadvantage for everyone: the customer who just wants to leave, and the restaurant owner who loses revenue. Otherwise, a big thumbs up for the friendliness of the waitress. Overall, a positive experience. Well done.

After several visits to this restaurant with generally positive reviews, we were disappointed by the €26 Saturday menu. Too greasy, not suitable for a summer meal, and poor value for money. It's a simplified menu with a main course and dessert, offering little choice. A shame, but I'm not sure I'll be back.

We visited twice last summer and cannot wait to return again next month

Lovely terrace, very affordable lunch menu
