An unusual place to discover. A pleasant surprise: this cuisine, different and surprising, was something I wasn't familiar with, with flavors that were unfamiliar and very interesting. I loved it.

Invited by a couple of friends and their young dog for a short walk in Simorre. They invited me to Le Bouche à Oreille, where we received a very warm welcome, and the dog was allowed inside. The food was light and flavorful, with many delightful discoveries that tantalized the taste buds. Kudos to the chef and the entire team at Le Bouche à Oreille! 🤗 I'll definitely be back. We went there for the first time to discover both the place and the cuisine. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. Not having a choice of what to eat and no wine list if you order by the glass was completely unacceptable. Lots of vegetables...yes, but perhaps a bit too many, and so little enhanced by any attempt at seasoning. Everything was very bland and basic. Cooking organic food doesn't mean neglecting the art of elevating ingredients with spices. The kohlrabi was overly lemony and lacked color in the dish, and the pot-au-feu was boring and flavorless. And as for the wines...I'll say nothing but bad. This isn't meant to criticize your restaurant, but that's truly how we felt about our visit. Sorry!

We enjoyed an excellent citrus-based meal, but we wanted to share with you the extraordinary watercress dessert that made us feel like we were on top of the world. A must-try!
