We discovered a real gem: Le Bouchon de Sassay.
Everything is there for a wonderful experience. The cuisine showcases local and seasonal produce with great finesse, but it's the use of unusual ingredients that truly captivated us. This demonstrates genuine creativity and affirms the restaurant's culinary signature.
The service is simply impeccable, enhanced by insightful explanations for each dish, making the experience even more delightful. The chef and server work together beautifully; you can feel their passion for this wonderful venture. This is an address that absolutely deserves to be better known in the Touraine region!

A delightful surprise at Le Bouchon de Sassay.
The dining room is airy, tastefully decorated, and peaceful. It's easy to be tempted by the six-course meal (or even seven if you include the cheese course). A truly wonderful restaurant just minutes from Beauval Zoo and Saint-Aignan.
We chose the set menu without knowing the dishes beforehand. Following the advice of the head waiter, we decided to let ourselves be guided and approach the meal with an open mind.
In the end, this completely transformed the experience: we let ourselves be carried away, discovering each dish with curiosity and fully enjoying the experience. A genuine moment of discovery and trust, which is also part of the charm of this type of fine dining.
You can also feel the energy of the new team that has taken over Le Bouchon de Sassay, both in the dining room and on the plate. A wonderful gastronomic destination in the Loir-et-Cher region that clearly deserves to be discovered. Thank you for this wonderful experience.
