Le Cafe Creme sur Saint-Aignan

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! I was in the area recently and needed a place to stay for 2 nights. I always research where I stay and this place had some really good reviews and of course a handful of not great reviews (like most places). I decided to stay here, and let me tell you the people who left ridiculously bad reviews clearly live a strange life. This restaurant/lodging was in every way perfect. And trust me, I travel enough to know good vs not so good! The rooms were clean and comfortable and just what I needed and the food was super. And talk about a nice atmosphere just to sit and hang out!!!! The owners were so accommodating and I enjoyed talking to them a lot. I recommend the chicken caesar salad and you can't go wrong with any of the burgers. This is a total diamond for locals and traveller's. Thanks so much for making me feel welcome and making it a great stay!

We spent 1 night at the Black Dog, had dinner and breakfast. We were well received. The pub is cozy, you feel good there. Bedroom 5 is comfortable. The charcuterie and cheese board was plentiful and was enough for dinner, no need to add a burger....just dessert. Breakfast is complete and free if you book directly on their site. Thank you John for the little musical attention in the morning for us Metalheads passing through.

The rooms are good, the welcome and the atmosphere very nice. The food is simple but very good. Overall a great experience. Consider booking on their site directly

Stopped here (unexpectedly) last week and am so happy our detour led us here. It is the PERFECT place not only to eat/drink but also to stay the night. The pub has a very cozy feel and the beer garden is a beautiful spot to sit. The owners were so accommodating and couldn't do more for us if they tried. The food was totally delicious and it was one of the best chicken curries I've had. I can't believe how lucky we were to stumble across this pub! If we are ever back in the area we will definitely return!

We spent a night at the Black Dog, in a quiet, well-equipped room after our bike ride along the canal. We also had dinner at this pub. Good meal, good music, good atmosphere. Address to remember and share.

Fantastic find in the beautiful brittany. Proper pub feel with great beers, pub food and homely welcoming owners and staff. They also have very nice rooms to stay in. Highly recommend the black dog pub.......a perfect blend of anglo french harmony. 5 stars.

My third visit to Le Black Dog, and great food and beer once again. I was last here nearly a year ago and would highly recommend that anyone visiting the area, looking for good, wholesome food, with a good selection of beers, visits this pub. Check for opening times, but you will not be disappointed.
