Merlin sur Saint-Aignan

If I could give it six stars, I would without hesitation. Absolutely delicious. The vegetables were of very high quality. The dishes were succulent. The welcome was very pleasant, and the view of the lake was lovely. I highly recommend it and will definitely return. Congratulations to the chef.

We set off from Beau Rivage to hike around Lake Guerlédan over two days, stopping at Le Merlin in Anse de Sordan. A stop we particularly enjoyed! Upon arrival, we received a warm welcome with complimentary draft cider and beer. We then discovered our room, which was very spacious and comfortable, with a magnificent view of the lake ❤️ The bathroom was as large as the already very spacious room. There's a shared dining area with several tables, a refrigerator, and a coffee machine with teas and coffees available. A real treat after a long day of hiking! In the evening, we enjoyed the hotel's restaurant and had a delicious meal. A very good dinner in a peaceful and welcoming setting. After a great night's sleep, we savored a hearty and delicious breakfast, again with a view of the lake—perfect for recharging before continuing our hike around the lake. Special mention to the entire team, who were incredibly pleasant and welcoming. Between the quality of the service, the restaurant, the comfortable room, the lake view, and the tranquility of the location, Le Merlin is a true haven of peace. For couples and everyone else, there's a magnificent viewpoint right in front of the restaurant. Perhaps it will inspire some marriage proposals or something similar 😂 A truly wonderful place that we wholeheartedly recommend!

A warm welcome from all the staff, and excellent service both in the guest room and in the restaurant and snack bar. The view from the guest room is beautiful, and the peaceful cove allowed us to rest well. The bed was perfect, and the large bathroom was a real plus. Thanks to the entire team, we were able to make the most of our stay at Lake Guerlédan (luggage storage, sandwich preparation). An excellent stay at the establishment. A short motorcycle ride and a chance lunch break – excellent! We'll be back to see you 😉

We came for lunch on Sunday, September 13th, on the terrace with a splendid view of the lake. The portions were generous. The beef stew was excellent, the meat very tender, served with vegetables and fries. We also had a well-filled burger with fries and vegetables. The service was excellent. The staff were very pleasant. A place to remember. A great find, especially for locals! 😊

Think chef was having a bad day food not good avoid his bread rolls, service was just as bad, if it wasn’t for the location it probably would not survive. Did not complain at the time as guessed that was their standard of food and service, would not recommend if you want a nice meal.

We had a wonderful family time at this fantastic site. A very warm welcome and excellent value for money. Highly recommended.
