Le Café de La Poste sur Venterol

A peaceful atmosphere in a pretty village, a warm family welcome, and incredibly delicious homemade food at a very reasonable price – a wonderful discovery! 🤩

Dinner at Café de la Poste one evening in June in Venterol during our cycling trip through the Drôme region. Thank you for the warm welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The dishes were full of flavor – bravo! The polenta was delicious. This is the kind of place we wish we could find more often.

We had booked an overnight stay at the Domaine de Provensol in Venterol (which produces wine) but hadn't planned dinner. The owner recommended the restaurant "Café de la Poste." A warm welcome and delicious food. Judging by what we ate, it was exceptional, as was the value for money. I highly recommend it; it's the perfect time of year, well worth the detour. If you're passing through, don't hesitate for a second, call them; you won't be disappointed. It's a shame that this place is closing soon, apparently for purely commercial reasons.

Home-style cooking, 100% homemade, with quality ingredients. It's flavorful and satisfying, well-balanced and beautifully presented. They have a good selection of local wines. And the staff is very friendly. I highly recommend it.

Bistronomic cuisine! Original and high quality, the fresh produce and the chef contribute greatly to this.

For all these years, it's been absolutely perfect... nothing to complain about!!! What a shame it's over...😢 We don't thank the town hall for being responsible for this closure... We'll miss you! But I'm sure you'll bounce back, you deserve it! All the best to you!

A pleasant surprise in this small village, super friendly owners, hearty and appetizing food, lovely setting, everything you need to share a Sunday meal with the family.... I recommend it.
