The welcome was very warm, the owners were incredibly attentive, and the team was fantastic (especially Louise and Pierre). We had a wonderful dinner; the veal shoulder and the octopus were delicious. We highly recommend this place. Thank you for all your kindness. Sylvie & Laurent

A superb experience during our visit to this restaurant…a huge thank you to our waitress for her recommendations (the veal was to die for and the octopus excellent), her professionalism, and her smile…we ate there 3 times during our 4-day stay in La Rochelle…go without hesitation…

We received a wonderful welcome at Café du Nord despite arriving late at 1:30 pm. The service was exceptional, with attentive staff, and to top it all off, we enjoyed a truly delicious meal from start to finish. We will be back as soon as possible. We must highlight all the thoughtful touches at this restaurant, which even offers free sanitary napkins – unheard of! Thank you so much for this delightful experience. We also brought our two small dogs, who received the same warm welcome as us 😉🥰

We had a wonderful time. The setting is superb and the staff's welcome was exceptionally kind; we immediately felt at ease. The food was flawless: the homemade quality was evident in every bite, with flavorful dishes presented in generous portions. Thank you to the entire team for this delightful experience; we will definitely be back!

08/06/2026: The dishes were a little different from other restaurants in La Rochelle, and that's a good thing! It was delicious... and the service was very pleasant. And the chocolate mousse (photo)... a real treat.
03/06/2026: After reading the various reviews, we decided to treat ourselves and eat at this restaurant. The welcome was warm and friendly. However, we were all disappointed by the value for money. We ordered different dishes, and considering the prices, nothing was particularly impressive: an undercooked chicken leg, rather small portions, and a very basic burger. Nothing exceptional, in short, which is a real shame.

10/05/2026: Everything was perfect, with unexpected surprises. One of the best 3-star experiences we've had!
28/04/2026: We had an extraordinary culinary experience! Each dish was a work of art, and the entire team was pleasant and attentive. The only slight drawback was that the dining room was a little too noisy when all the tables were occupied.
