We came with a small group to try a Charentaise chowder, a mixture of shellfish in sauce. It was delicious and served quickly at our request, as we had a guided tour in the afternoon.

We had a great time at the Café du Nord. The welcome was really superb, the staff very pleasant and caring. The food was excellent, with a special mention for the calf paleron which was exceptional! The setting is also very friendly, with a beautiful view of the port of La Rochelle, which makes the experience even more pleasant.

A truly excellent experience at this restaurant! Impeccable service from start to finish, with an attentive and professional team. The food was simply perfect: a special mention for the veal shoulder, incredibly tender. I highly recommend it!

28/04/2026: We had an extraordinary culinary experience! Each dish was a work of art, and the entire team was pleasant and attentive. The only slight drawback was that the dining room was a little too noisy when all the tables were occupied.
