A very pleasant surprise in a very touristy village. A super friendly welcome and delicious, gourmet cuisine. And a gourmet coffee not to be missed!

As the name suggests, it's a bistro... Very good. I recommend it. After returning in 2024 and 2026, the cuisine hasn't changed, as previously mentioned, it's bistronomy. I recommend it if you're passing through Villefranche-de-Conflent. Good value for money, with good products. Today, the service was quite fast again, PERFECT for me. Thank you. P.S. They were a victim of their own success and didn't deliver the local draft beer today.

Very pretty shaded terrace. The service was just about pleasant (a smile was optional). However, everyone was very kind to our dog! 👍 The mixed salad: delicious country ham, cheeses… perhaps less local, salad that was crunchy, very limited raw vegetables (1 olive per plate, 3 cucumber slices, 3 onion slices), and no dressing whatsoever. Beautiful tableware (a kind of earthenware salad bowl) but difficult to use (cutting country ham in a deep dish with a bad knife is not easy!). So, my opinion is mixed. NB: incredible interior decor with a firefighter theme, complete with helmets and various accessories, photos, Canadair models, etc…

A country bistro that lives up to its reputation; we had a superb meal. Thank you to the firefighter chef and the whole team for their warm welcome and kindness.

Despite it being late August, the young woman serving went out of her way to find us a table. The staff were friendly and attentive. The salad with nectarines and peaches was perfect, and the daily special was well-prepared. We even came back for a drink after our visit to Fort Liberia.

15/10/2026: We had a lovely time at this establishment. The setting is truly beautiful, and the servers are pleasant and welcoming. However, I found the prices particularly high. Working in the restaurant industry myself and being a regular at various restaurants, I was quite surprised by the price level. I can understand that an establishment located in a tourist village might have a certain pricing policy, but personally, I found the prices a bit excessive. I myself work in one of the most beautiful villages in France, and despite the tourist context, we are not at all in the same price range, and I should point out that this is for "homemade" food. This is, of course, just my personal opinion and doesn't detract from the quality of the establishment, which is truly pleasant. I would still recommend stopping by if you are in Villefranche; it remains a reliable choice.
