Stunning setting Excellent cuisine Top-notch

We had a lovely time at this establishment. The setting is truly beautiful, and the servers are pleasant and welcoming. However, I found the prices particularly high. Working in the restaurant industry myself and being a regular at various restaurants, I was quite surprised by the price level. I can understand that an establishment located in a tourist village might have a certain pricing policy, but personally, I found the prices a bit excessive. I myself work in one of the most beautiful villages in France, and despite the tourist context, we are not at all in the same price range, and I should point out that this is for "homemade" food. This is, of course, just my personal opinion and doesn't detract from the quality of the establishment, which is truly pleasant. I would still recommend stopping by if you are in Villefranche; it remains a reliable choice.

A wonderful surprise! From the welcome to the bill, everything was perfect at Le Patio… the octopus confit: I'd never seen anything like it before and it was absolutely delicious… as was the two-lemon dessert… the house aperitif (muscat, lemonade, raspberry) is also highly recommended, and the prawns on a spit were as beautiful to look at as they were tasty. Thank you to the entire restaurant team for such a wonderful time spent there.

We stop there every time we go to or come back from the mountains to enjoy some sweetbreads. A delight...

A delicious beef fillet tournedos—the meat was incredibly tender, juicy, and perfectly prepared. Great presentation and very pleasant service, too. Highly recommended!

They paid so much attention that for a moment I felt like that gourmet critic from "Ratatouille." The Caesar salad, and I'm not surprised anymore, was again a special recipe. Delicious, but if I were a gourmet critic, I would have added tomatoes. :) I was so impressed by watching the French that I stayed for dessert. I wanted to be part of this community. The dessert itself was original. And the renovation was very impressive. Just a little more, and the place could be visited like a museum. For a second, I wondered if it was worth blowing my nose into such a beautiful sink. :) Thank you.

If you're looking for an authentic spot in the heart of the medieval town of Villefranche-de-Conflent, look no further: this restaurant is a real gem! From the moment you step inside, you're immersed in the history of the place. Built on the foundations of a former bakery, the dining room has retained all its charm. The unusual detail that's worth the detour? The magnificent period bread oven, superbly preserved... right next to the restrooms! A unique heritage touch that gives the establishment its distinctive character. On the menu, it's a celebration of local cuisine. The menu proudly showcases regional specialties. I savored an absolutely divine cargolade (snail stew), served according to traditional methods: accompanied by slices of country bread to rub yourself with a clove of garlic, and a traditional homemade aioli that was simply divine. A true delight, bursting with flavor and exceptionally authentic. To top it all off, the service is outstanding. The team is super friendly, dynamic, and full of humor. Fun fact: keep your eyes peeled, one of the staff members is the spitting image (and just as warm) of chef Norbert Tarayre! In short, generous portions, a convivial atmosphere, and a setting steeped in history. You can go without hesitation!

Our must-stop for food lovers when we're in the area. Excellent and very varied cuisine.
