Several concerns arose in the middle of August in a very touristy village: long wait, high price, sloppy food... NONE OF THAT! The service was quick, efficient, and friendly, the meal delicious (I recommend the tuna if you're a fan!), and the bill very reasonable. A great find!

A great place to eat if you're passing through Villefranche-de-Conflent. The fricassee and meat were excellent. They also have a lovely children's menu with a small starter :-)

We had a wonderful time as a family! The meal was excellent, with just the right amount of deliciousness, perfectly cooked, a slightly playful waiter 😉, and a very welcoming atmosphere. The restrooms are beautiful, even if they're not meant to be a public place 😅. We highly recommend it 👍

Discovered this restaurant. Very pretty setting. We were seated in the quiet patio. The food was excellent and the service impeccable. I highly recommend it.

Absolutely fantastic from start to finish: excellent food, impeccable location, very friendly and welcoming service, and very reasonable prices overall, especially considering it's in a tourist village.

The service was mediocre at best; they gave us a small table in a corner even though there were more comfortable ones available. We had made the reservation two weeks in advance by phone. The waiter seemed to be doing us a favor; very impersonal.

The set menu at the Yellow Train was very reasonably priced and very generous. The rest of the menu was probably a bit pricey, but that's due to the location. Overall, we really enjoyed it, and the service was very pleasant and friendly.

16/08/2026: We had a very good lunch. It's a small restaurant where you need to book to get a table. They only sit down for one meal, so it fills up quickly. The service was very pleasant and the food was excellent. Definitely the best restaurant in Villefranche-de-Conflent. The duck tiramisu was to die for! The octopus was superb and the peach and verbena dessert was refreshing!

23/08/2026: We went with three children, aged 10 and 6, and the food was wonderful. The place is also very welcoming and charming. We would definitely return; we even arrived at two o'clock and they still served us.
11/08/2026: Very good crepes and galettes. We had a reservation. The owner seemed nervous at the welcome. It was too crowded 🥴
