We had the most spectacular seafood platter at this restaurant last night. Everything was delicious but I am impressed the whelks were done so superbly. Apparently they steamed them instead of boiling them and they put cloves with it. The texture and taste were wonderful. I know whelks are not to everyone’s taste but it is worth trying a few. The oysters were fresh and sweet. Prawns and spider crabs are also of very good standard. We had the most amazing white wine too, if you feel like splashing out for a treat. That is the white wine to go for with the seafood. After a good amount of seafood, we decided we needed to have desserts. The desserts were just as good. The staff were very friendly and professional. Service was at a very good pace. We weren’t rushed and we had good space of time between courses. I recommend that you book ahead either by phone or email. The restaurant does get busy. It was a Wednesday evening we went and it was full. The seafood platter was out of this worldly good.

Very friendly service, great view of Carteret Bay. We had table number 4 – with a magnificent view. Mineral water from Brittany, fresh fish daily. Very clean restrooms – highly recommended! I'm usually rather skeptical about hotel restaurants – but I felt very comfortable here and will gladly return! Thank you!
