We booked by phone for dinner on a Saturday night: the owner was very direct and not very friendly. The dinner was good overall, but I think our starters weren't homemade (I don't know about the desserts since we didn't have any). The portions were adequate. However, don't order the decaf! I saw that it was just powder and hot water. And I didn't see a coffee machine in operation.

The meal was very good, but the service wasn't great! We were served a small rillette as a snack with toast. Since I don't eat meat, I politely asked if there was anything else, and the response was, "OH NO NO!!!" Okay, the waitress wasn't friendly at all! She never even asked if we were enjoying our meal and practically gave us dirty looks! I DON'T UNDERSTAND! We weren't welcome, apparently... yet they were quite happy to take our money when it came to the bill! In short, avoid this place for the lack of friendliness, but the food was good, I know I can be objective! But I won't be going back!

We loved the breathtaking view of the harbor from the upstairs dining room. The dishes served were delicious and beautifully presented (seafood sauerkraut, oysters, calf's head, Colonel's wine, and apple tart). The service was also very pleasant. We highly recommend it... Don't hesitate to book.

27/07/2026: A very warm welcome and an exquisite lunch. We highly recommend the scallops and prawns duo 🤩
20/07/2026: The food was good. The prices are a bit high, but the quality is there. However, the waiter spilled a tray of drinks on me, including grenadine… My shorts and shoes were ruined. Despite his apologies, there was no gesture of goodwill: a simple free coffee would have sufficed. It's a shame, it spoiled the experience.

17/06/2026: We had lunch there today: the food was delicious, everything was homemade and fresh. The fries were amazing. We loved the replies to the negative Google reviews; they gave us a good laugh. If we're ever back in Les Sables-d'Olonne, we'll definitely come back 🥰
02/06/2026: Excellent service, charming waitress. One drawback… €15 for a slice of foie gras with a red fruit coulis… overpriced… A warm goat cheese salad at €19… also overpriced considering that, on average, you restaurateurs make a substantial profit margin. We all have to make a living, we all have bills… but paying for the ambiance and not the quality or quantity… that's a shame. An aggressive pricing policy that will ultimately backfire on you, unfortunately.
