Passing through the Gévaudan Wolf Park during our holiday drive between Cluny and Biarritz, we were looking for a local restaurant for lunch. A quick Google search led us to Le Carré. Upon arrival, we were surprised to discover an original concept: a restaurant-tobacconist… and it immediately resonated with us since we are tobacconists ourselves! The welcome from the tattooed young man was simply perfect: a smile, kindness, good humor, and that warm accent that added even more charm to the experience. A true ray of sunshine in the heart of the Aubrac region! As for the food, we have nothing to complain about: excellent local beef, tender and flavorful, perfectly cooked. The chestnut fondant was absolutely delicious and the perfect ending to the meal. A big thank you for this convivial and delicious experience. A wonderful discovery that we wholeheartedly recommend!
