Great discovery. The refinement of the cuisine in a great setting while keeping the price contained.

Place I recommend We were there for the second time. The menus are very fine and delicious The setting is magnificent, the staff always so friendly. We will return with great pleasure 👍

Super very good value for money

We came for a romantic dinner for my birthday. Nothing to say about the cuisine which is refined and excellent, we ate very well. Big downside on the service however. When we arrived we were shown the table to sit at without really taking us there. Then we didn't know what to drink when the waitress came. When she comes back to see us, she asks us “So do you want to drink something or not? » . What do you mean “or not”? Are we bothering you? Would a smile scratch your mouth? In such a setting, and for refined cuisine, we did not expect such a lack of friendliness. We are here to relax and enjoy, not to be talked to like that. A bit as if we had nothing to do here. For what reason I don't know but my impression: is it because we don't seem as well off as the other customers? Is it because my partner has a beard and eats fish? To meditate. When paying, as other reviews mention, we have to wait at reception for someone to come and take care of us. Again the feeling of disturbing so that someone decides to come and cash us. When he edits the bill the waiter charges us for the dessert off the menu and I ask why. He replies that it's the same, it's the same price, that he's almost giving us a favor because it's saving, in a rather unpleasant way as if we knew the prices of their card by heart. I'm not the one who works here. I did not insist, feeling uncomfortable following this way of speaking, but my partner asked out of curiosity for the difference and ultimately, €8 difference. If we paid €120 per table instead of €128 I don’t think you would have accepted. The waiter therefore apologized and there was no worry about making a mistake, it happens to everyone. On the other hand, talking to me in this way with such confidence only to end up being wrong is a bit too much. Coming from Switzerland, we have already eaten in several gourmet restaurants and did not expect such a difference in quality of service in France. In short, I would not recommend this restaurant if you want to be received kindly and with a smile, but perhaps if you wear Gucci / Chanel, it will go down better.

Very nice discovery during our stay in the area. The place, the welcome, the service, the meal: everything was perfect.

Too bad 😵‍💫.... the site is beautiful but we found ourselves “crowded” on the terrace. The tables are close to each other which means that sometimes we are forgotten💭💤. The dishes are good but a little more presentation would be welcome. In short... A BEAUTIFUL ADDRESS CAN BE A VICTIM OF ITS SUCCESS.

Le site est joli, dommage que les tables soient aussi serrée entre elles . Le menu à 52€ est bien mais un peu plus de présentation sur les plats serait le bienvenu. Un bel établissement qui est victime de son succès et qui commence à decliner.

We had dinner in a pretty interior courtyard. The welcome is very friendly and the service efficient. Le Carré des Saveurs offers quality cuisine with fresh produce. The dishes are tasty and well presented. The sea bream fillet was delicious. We had a great time. An essential address if you pass near Barjac.

Always a pleasure to come to this establishment

…but ‘substance’ perhaps needs a rethink ? And I say this in the context of menu choice. The hotel and it’s setting really is super - elegant and understated. Nothing OTT, but nods everywhere to quality. The dining areas do their job very well and sitting outside in the courtyard and around the imposing olive tree is lovely. I’ve mentioned before that the menu is limited and this time it seemed more so. Still reasonable value but I was restricted to just one ( of 4 ) Mains dishes…which admittedly was mouth-wateringly delicious. Tantalisingly described as a dish that would transport you back to Granny’s kitchen, the beef cheek melted in the mouth. Lots of flavour. Perfectly cooked. Just 3 carrots and a few beans short of a dish ‘extraordinaire’. ‘Efficient service’ concludes this recommendation.
