Back at this restaurant where we used to spend wonderful evenings 25 years ago. A single, simple menu, no frills, but it works perfectly for discovering or rediscovering fouées (a local bread). The dessert is simply delicious. The welcome is warm and the service friendly. I highly recommend this unique place for sharing a great local experience.

I was recommended Le Caveau de Doué-la-Fontaine, and I can see why! The troglodytic setting is absolutely stunning: a place carved into the rock, warm and inviting.
The unique meal centered around fouaces, these small breads baked in a wood-fired oven, is a real discovery. You fill them as you please, and it's as convivial as it is delicious.
Pleasant service, authentic atmosphere, simple yet flavorful cuisine. A wonderful place that I wholeheartedly recommend!

Excellent cave restaurant with a lovely, warm atmosphere. The waitresses are very kind and attentive to the customers. I highly recommend it. The fouées (a type of flatbread) are delicious and unlimited.

This restaurant offers an exceptional cave-like experience. The menu was perfect and high-quality, with top-notch service. Our waitress was able to adapt to our different needs. Thank you for the Camembert (without the T) 😅. Book without hesitation!
