Lunch with excellent and generous Auvergne-style open-faced sandwiches served on a slate. They also have very good beers and original herbal teas. In short, we love this little restaurant. It's worth the detour! The shop offers local products to take home as souvenirs.

💖 During my vacation in Murat-le-Quaire, near La Bourboule and Le Mont-Dore (63150), in our beautiful Auvergne region... A delightful discovery with a wealth of wonderful treats to please both the taste buds and the heart. Plenty of gift ideas! A shop and a café with a soul, a magical essence. On-site, you can shop and also sample some local products at the café in a unique setting: a traditional Auvergne buron (shepherd's hut) with carefully chosen decor. A pleasant setting in the shade and greenery, a warm and helpful welcome and service. What can we say about the cheese and Auvergne ham tartines, the hearty salads, and the light waffles with blueberry jam... Everything is excellent... Go there quickly and enjoy... Plus, you'll find all these delicious products on the other side of the restaurant. Thank you ☺️

01/02/2026: All the products here are of high quality. The dishes and desserts are very good, prepared with great skill and homemade!
01/02/2026: A very good restaurant offering only à la carte options (large chalkboard menu). Fresh, simple, and delicious ingredients. The quality and flavor are definitely there, and the portions are generous. Main courses start at €18—but unfortunately, it's a burger and fries, not very local. On the other hand, the desserts are too expensive: €6 (e.g., fromage blanc/cream/blueberry or fruit tart). We suggest: * The Truffade (a potato and cheese dish) €20 * Reservations are recommended, especially if you are a large group. Parking is 50m away, and to aid digestion, we recommend a visit to the Scenomusee Chez la Toinette et le Julien (also 50m away); a bit pricey but definitely worth the visit. Enjoy your meal and your visit!

17/08/2024: Très bonne adresse. Menu à 25 euros copieux. Serveuse très pro. Salle dans laquelle on peut admirer le paysage des montagnes. Rien à redire.
06/08/2024: Stopped at a nearby campervan area, we had lunch there. Good welcome, beautiful view, very well eaten (excellent truffade). Fair prices for quality and quantity. To recommend !
