The Bar Central in Mont-Louis is a pleasant place to take a break. We stopped there to enjoy a refreshing sangria on the terrace. The cocktail was good, perfect for relaxing before getting back on the road. The welcome was very friendly. The shaded terrace is fantastic.

After several breaks at the bar following our hikes, we were charmed by the waitress's kindness and the friendly, family atmosphere. We returned for the restaurant and weren't disappointed: simple but delicious cuisine made with excellent ingredients, a warm welcome and service – we felt right at home with friends. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and had a wonderful time! A great find: Mel i Mato... I highly recommend it!

We ate delicious prawns and a large salad; everything was fresh and plentiful. We had been last month and didn't hesitate to return. Efficient and friendly service, family atmosphere. Children are very welcome.

The service was very slow, and there was a discrepancy between the set menus and the other orders... which had already been completed by the time our main courses arrived... what a shame! The food was good, but the presentation was very simple. It was the first time we'd ever heard a waitress refuse to take an order because the kitchen was so busy... The waiter seemed a bit lost but was friendly.

Great spot, this eatery. Lovely terrace with a beautiful view, great service, and excellent food. And then the price: two lunch dishes, a drink, two ice creams, and coffee to finish. And all that for a mere 39 euros. In our little country, you’d spend that much per person if you weren't careful.. In short, if you are in Mont Louis, definitely go here for lunch.

Every February, we return to Mont-Louis and honestly, Le Central is a very nice place: simple, with good bar food and typical Catalan dishes. Everything is very clean. Thank you!

Fantastic experience at Bar Le Central in Montlouis! We had a truly excellent meal: everything was delicious, fresh, and prepared with care. Special mention to the manager, who is incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive from beginning to end. Despite our lateness (we had a reservation for noon), she kindly waited for us until 2 pm without any problem, which is becoming rare and truly deserves to be highlighted. Once there was no wait, the service was quick and efficient in a pleasant atmosphere. In short, a place I wholeheartedly recommend! We will definitely be back 🙂

Bar Le Regent

06/08/2026: Le Régent in Mont-Louis is a place worth a visit, especially for its atmosphere if you're a USSAP fan. Despite the terrace, it's quite warm and the air doesn't circulate much in the corner near the buildings, but it's a pleasant place to take a refreshing break with a beer. The owner was very friendly and passionate. We appreciated his passion for USSAP, which is fully reflected in the establishment's decor. The bar is decorated with this theme and almost resembles a museum dedicated to USSAP. For our meal, we chose the fideuà on the owner's recommendation. The dish was flawless, and we thoroughly enjoyed it for a very reasonable price.
09/06/2026: Food was quite cheap and not too bad although the salad that came with my meal was gross. We rode the yellow train to the town and there weren’t many restaurants open. I’d say our experience was very nice except the food could have been a bit better. It was a great place for a beer or a coffee. The menu was small but we were all able to find something to eat. Our service was excellent!

31/05/2026: The hotel was fine, with an indoor pool, but the rooms had an unpleasant smell.
25/05/2026: The hotel is well located, with beautiful renovated rooms and an indoor pool for relaxation. Breakfast and meals are served in a roadside diner-style dining room that is impersonal and very noisy. Some of the service staff are foreign and don't understand French, which is a real problem. The management at reception and in the dining room is not very pleasant, including their interactions with the staff.
