This hotel is visually beautiful and in many ways truly enjoyable — but the management and service are so poor that it completely ruins the experience.
First, the positives:
The hotel itself is stunning. The design is elegant, the atmosphere is very pleasant, and the location for skiing is excellent. The ski-in / ski-out access is fantastic, which makes mornings on the slopes extremely convenient. The food is also genuinely very good — everything we tried was tasty and well presented. In terms of aesthetics and cuisine, the hotel does a great job.
Unfortunately, the service and management are shockingly bad, especially considering the extremely high prices.
We stayed 9 nights, yet somehow our dog was charged for 10 days, and we were also billed city tax for 10 days even though we checked out at 12:00 noon. This is not acceptable for a hotel at this price level.
The room service situation was honestly a disaster. The system on the website — which is supposed to be the way to order — simply does not work properly. The night menu was also not functioning. We placed an order through the website as instructed, waited an entire hour, and heard nothing. Eventually I called the reception myself. Only then did they tell us that they had supposedly tried to call us but “couldn’t reach us,” so they never informed us that none of the food we ordered was actually available. Instead, the only options were pizza and cold cuts. After waiting an hour, that was the only thing we could order. This is not service — this is chaos.
The biggest problem here is clearly management. The staff seem unorganized, systems don’t work, communication is poor, and there is no sense of responsibility toward the guest experience.
And this is especially disappointing because the hotel is extremely expensive. At this price level, service should be flawless — but here it is the opposite. Last year we stayed at another hotel in Courchevel for less money and with absolutely perfect service. Sadly, that hotel is currently closed for renovation, otherwise we would have happily returned there instead.
To summarize:
If service means nothing to you, then you might enjoy this hotel — it is beautiful, the food is good, and the ski access is great.
But if you expect professional management and service that matches the price, this place will be a huge disappointment.
Unfortunately, we will never come back. This hotel simply does not justify its price, and until the entire management structure is changed, it is hard to imagine the service improving.

The pros: ski shop was very helpful
The cons: Not a 5 star experience. We had a 2 bedroom and rooms were quite dark, poorly lit, small windows, and very low ceilings. Service was spotty: several requests were ignored for so long they became irrelevant, restaurant reservations were off on time for 2 our of the 5 they made for us, they made us 15 min late to a reindeer experience they had booked by giving us the wrong instructions. Food at breakfast is repetitive and mid. Certainly there must be better hotels at this level and price point.

our week at Le Chabichou couldn’t have been a more pleasant experience between the Concierge and reception desk staff and the managers, the drivers, the spa (lucy my masseuse) the Restaurants both la Sidonie and Le Chabichou with Michelin star Chep Buron we were fortunate experience a special “quartre maison” 4 hands /2 Great Chef’s

Everything was amazing from start to finish. The service was impeccable - the staff really went out of their way to help with even the smallest details. Also, for skiing it was incredibly convenient to be right on the mountain. Thank you! I would definitely come back

We stayed at the Hotel Chabichou the week of January 31, 2026 to February 7, 2026.
Our stay was fantastic.
You don't experience any of the usual hassles associated with skiing (ski-in/ski-out access). A shuttle can drop you off anytime, anywhere you want.
The concierge service is extremely efficient; you're in direct contact via WhatsApp, which makes things very easy.
Special thanks to Ester and Candela, who guided us throughout our stay. I also want to thank all the other staff.
I highly recommend trying the spa, the largest in Courchevel.
The staff is lovely (breakfast, reception, and concierge).
We've already made a reservation request for next year, which tells you just how exceptional our stay was.

Wonderful staff, very good service, amazing food and location. The bedroom and the bed of the the classic bedroom are too small. Other than that , amazing!
