Le Chalet De La Frasse sur Lamoura

After seeing a flyer, we were drawn to this restaurant. The reviews made us hesitate, but we decided to give it a try for dinner. Luckily, we were warmly welcomed by the owner, Laure, who has run the establishment for many years. We enjoyed a delicious fondue accompanied by a traditional Jura white wine and finished with a homemade dessert! We arrived at Chalet de la Frasse after a beautiful bike ride (the four of us) through the Massacre Forest. A complete change of scenery. We ate very well and, above all, had a good laugh. The place is perfect for meeting other hikers. Thank you for the warm welcome and your trust.

We spent the night at Chalet de la Frasse with half-board, but be warned, it's half-board without a single glass of water! Strange… The welcome from a very friendly young seasonal worker was pleasant, but the service from the owner was much less so; we, the guests, had to comply with her demands… The meal and breakfast were quite good. The drinks are exorbitantly priced (€3.50 for a 1.5L bottle of water, €3.90 for herbal tea…). The picnic basket was also a bit expensive (€13 for a sandwich, an orange, and a tiny slice of pie, and of course, no water…). If you have no other choice, go for it; otherwise, you can probably find a more welcoming place!

The fondue was excellent at this time of year! Just like the welcome!

A moment of pure bliss, we were warmly welcomed into this magnificent setting by Laure, the owner. A magical place, superb local dishes, and reasonable prices. Many thanks also to the chef who does a fantastic job. We look forward to returning, the Lolo's.

A pleasant surprise in the Massacre Forest, at the top of a wooded road. A typical place, very good food, a great atmosphere and friendly service.
