Le Chalet des Gentianes sur Valcivieres

We spent the weekend in the "Myrtille" and "Framboise" cabins with our family. Perched at an altitude of 1367m, we found a magical place where the friendly owners are happy to don their aprons and play one of the many games available in the dining room with you. Good humor and conviviality are guaranteed, even when the beautiful weather decides to move further south. A magical place, maintained by two little elves with hearts of gold. If you're passing by, you'll be missing out on a truly special moment, if you decide not to stop!

A very warm welcome, the staff were very attentive and friendly. The chalet is very pleasant. The food is good, fresh, local produce in generous portions. Being on the Camino de Santiago, it was a very relaxing and enjoyable stop. Thank you for your kindness and all the best.

Arriving exhausted after a good day's hike on the GR3, in the rain and snow, I found everything I needed right there: a hearty galette, a comforting crêpe, a shower, and a cozy room. A good night's sleep after dinner, ready to set off again when the weather was better. A very friendly welcome, with excellent service.

Just passing through after a hike, we stopped for a crêpe. The owners are incredibly welcoming, and the place is as friendly as the surrounding nature is wild. In short, a great time shared with these young "managers" who are eager to work. So go there in large numbers; you won't be disappointed. Plus, dogs are welcome... on a leash.

We hiked and then had lunch at the chalet on Easter Monday. There were still few hikers around... We were able to enjoy the sunny location and a warm welcome. There was seating both outside and inside with breathtaking views of the Sancy mountains.

We came to camp in the area and had a lovely time at the Chalet des Gentianes. Local, high-quality products and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. What more could you ask for?

A superb discovery! I won't talk about the rooms because we were only there for lunch! But the welcome was top-notch, the cuisine made with fresh produce was delicious. The setting is magnificent. What more can I say? We have to go again and again.
