Mecca for restaurants when going up or down Mont Ventoux, visited on a sunny November 1st. The setting is very pleasant but the staff had obviously not anticipated such a large crowd. The restaurant was full, the snack bar overflowed. We still ate a good pizza and a tray of fries while enjoying the landscape. A good time nonetheless.
I recently had lunch at this restaurant and I would like to emphasize that the food is simply excellent. The dishes are tasty and well presented, a real treat for the taste buds. However, I was disappointed by the service, which was very slow and lacked organization. We had to wait a long time to order and even longer to receive our dishes. If the service matched the quality of the food, this restaurant would be truly exceptional. I hope they can improve this aspect. The panorama is breathtaking offering an incredible view that makes the experience unforgettable.
Late season operation, nothing more was to be expected.
In the high season it won't be much fun here as it's probably always quite crowded - the stopover on the way to the summit of Mont Ventoux.
