We ate at this restaurant in Ancelle, which is very well located, with a lovely garden and a beautiful swimming pool. The meal was very good and the staff very welcoming. We will definitely be back.

We stopped there yesterday for a meal during my trip down memory lane in the region. I hadn't been back since 2003. The restaurant was fantastic, the regional food was a real treat, especially the tourtons and raviols. I'll definitely be back; the waitress and the owner were so friendly.

Efficient check-in; we were in our room two minutes after arrival. No complaints. The staff were helpful and attentive. The room was spotless and had a beautiful view.

A timeless escape! While the hotel retains a rustic and authentic feel, the welcome is exceptional. From the owners to the waiters, everyone is incredibly kind. As for the food, it's pure bliss: you eat like you're at your mother's or grandmother's. Traditional, generous cuisine, in the style of an old-fashioned canteen, the kind they just don't make anymore. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for genuine warmth and delicious flavors.

The food is always excellent. We've been coming here for over twenty years; the quality is consistent, the prices are always reasonable, and the service is friendly. We wish we lived closer so we could come more often!

The staff were SO friendly, always smiling, incredibly kind!!! It felt like we were part of the family, pleasant, easy to talk to, and so attentive!! I've rarely met such lovely staff, such a great, relaxed, and family atmosphere, you feel at ease very quickly!!! Superb 👍🏼

I'm only reviewing the restaurant as we didn't stay overnight, but I think the hotel would have received the same rating! A 5-star experience! Simply perfect, delicious food, and a very friendly and accommodating waiter! Kudos to the Chamois team, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal! The value for money is excellent, with dessert included in the price of the main course (the bill came to €110 for 4 adults and 1 child).

15/05/2026: Luxurious rooms. Hearty breakfast with good local products. Warm welcome. A little disappointed by the culinary quality of the dinners and the prices; 30 euros for a plate of pasta and two scoops of ice cream is expensive!
12/05/2026: Fantastic hotel in the middle of a ghost town (early May). Clean, warm, welcoming, and with a great atmosphere. The room was large, clean, and very comfortable. And finally, a non-French dinner, without the usual spreads and sauces. They served us a brazier with a grill and glowing embers right on the table, along with a platter of slices of raw meat (cooked to your liking) that were truly excellent, tender, and flavorful, and a huge bowl of delicious, non-greasy French fries. There were two of us, but four could have easily eaten… A truly beautiful place; we were right to stop in Ancelle in the middle of nowhere instead of Gap!!!

Le Clos du Rocher

13/06/2026: What a wonderful discovery! The dining room completely immerses you in a chalet atmosphere. The waitress was very attentive and bubbly! A lovely moment shared with her. Kudos also to the chef for the dishes. Perfectly cooked, and a special mention for the breaded Maroilles cheese!!! Delicious! We'll definitely be back.
