we ordered 2 green salads with our crepes. the salad served, a mesclun was not fresh, black pieces (rotten salad from a ready-made bag) were stuck to the other leaves. I asked for it to be changed, and they brought us an identical one. inedible. We asked to take them back and they didn't charge us for them. the pancakes were ok.

A real favorite for the Restaurant Le Chamois d’Or in Saint-Étienne-de-Tinée! I had the chance to enjoy an exceptional lunch in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The Breton pancakes, a specialty of the house, are simply exquisite, prepared with care and quality ingredients. Special mention for the chestnut ice cream, a pure delight, and the coffee, which ends the meal perfectly. The team is not only friendly and dynamic, but they also offer impeccable and attentive service. I highly recommend this address to all lovers of good food and excellent service!

An enchanting setting, a pleasant courtyard lit by small magnifying glasses. The savory pancakes are divine, a quality flour that awakens the taste buds. I enjoyed a gorgonzola pancake with cooked apples, a fabulous combination. Don’t forget to taste the refreshing and sublime elderberry liqueur aperitif

Tranquille et calme — the photos showing duck and tartiflette dishes are now redundant as this place now serves mainly crêpes, galettes and a couple of salads. Perhaps because of a change of ownership. But it’s a lovely little spot for lunch or an aperitif in any case.

28/06/2025: The hotel is admittedly a little run-down, but it has its charm. Above all, it has a very friendly, young team who are attentive to their customers. A big thank you to the young woman who welcomed us and took care of our rooms, as well as the young man at the bar and restaurant, who, despite their young age, are extremely good at their jobs. Congratulations to you.
06/06/2025: We spent one night at this hotel. We arrived late (after calling ahead), so we had to go to the restaurant since the reception was closed at 9 p.m. We were very well received by a young woman full of smiles and good humor who made sure we didn't miss anything. Given our late arrival, we hadn't eaten, and at this time of year, nothing is open. She made sure we were still served a meal despite the closure and made sure we had a very decent room for the price we paid. Everything was clean; it's clear that modernization efforts are underway. The bedding was comfortable, and we slept very well. We were given a little something extra with a last-minute room upgrade and breakfast, which was very much appreciated and very kind. I thank the staff for their understanding and kindness, especially the young lady who looked after us. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely be back.
