03/09/2026: This restaurant was recommended to us, and we weren't disappointed at all! The welcome and service were very pleasant, the quality of the food (especially the meats) was remarkable, the chef's work (cooking, flavors, seasonings...) was perfect, and the homemade desserts were delicious! We'll definitely be back!

03/09/2026: If you're lucky enough to get a table, go for it! The food is exceptional, the owners are fantastic, the service is very professional, and the cuisine is outstanding. We had a wonderful evening and highly recommend it.

They even have an adorable stray cat 🐈⬛
Regarding the food, the portions are generous, although we all found the prices quite steep...
The service is a bit slow, but that's part of the atmosphere; you just shouldn't be in a hurry!
It's a shame that the raclette cheese and charcuterie seemed rather average compared to other places...

We've been going to this restaurant for years, and it's precisely because we had such fond memories of it that this last experience was so disappointing.
The prices are high, but the quality is no longer there. Everything seemed significantly below what we'd experienced before.
It's a real shame, because we've long enjoyed this place and always returned with pleasure. We hope this decline in quality is only temporary, unless the owners have changed!

15/04/2026: It's magnificent, right in the middle of the slopes!
We slept incredibly well at 1650 meters altitude. The room was very comfortable, the price very reasonable, and the breakfast was enormous.
29/03/2026: A real gem on the slopes of Auron!
Between runs, or in the evening, a warm atmosphere, a top-notch welcome, and above all, cuisine that's well worth the trip.
Special mention for the wood-fired meat dishes: perfectly cooked, incredible flavors—we simply loved them. They're generous, authentic, and exactly what you crave after a great morning of skiing.
An address to remember for combining the pleasure of the slopes with the pleasure of fine dining. We'll definitely be back!

27/08/2026: Great atmosphere. The owner also manages the quad biking and pony rides. The pastries are to die for, and the homemade lemonade is perfect after a hike. They have more "exotic" syrups than the traditional mint/grenadine/lemon.
Note: if you're afraid of dogs, there are several. They're all calm, not aggressive or intrusive, and very well-behaved. My two youngest children are usually afraid of dogs, but they petted them without any problem or apprehension.

15/03/2026: The hotel is ideally located just steps from the gondola lifts to the slopes and close to all amenities! The included breakfast is a nice touch, with plenty of choice (both savory and sweet). We also tried the restaurant one lunchtime; our buckwheat crepes were delicious, made with fresh ingredients. We had a room with a magnificent mountain view! I'm deducting one star for the room simply because there were small black stains scattered all over the sheets, as well as a very unpleasant smell (like tobacco) in the bathroom. Apart from that, we had a very pleasant stay at this hotel, and we thank the lady who greeted us upon arrival for her friendliness and professionalism.
11/03/2026: We had a wonderful stay in Auron! Everything was absolutely perfect. The food at TACA D'OLI was delicious, and the room was spotless and very comfortable. The location is ideal, allowing you to fully enjoy the surrounding area and winter sports!
A huge thank you also for the fondue, which was simply exquisite, thanks to Florence's excellent advice and culinary talents 👍😉, and the crepes were to die for! Bravo, bravo, bravo!

However, €9 for a bottle of sparkling water made with a SodaStream/Purezza machine…??? That's a shame; we won't be back for that reason alone.
07/03/2026: In my opinion, the bartender could easily do without smoking his IQOS or equivalent cigarette behind the bar... I'm sure a customer wouldn't be able to... A very atypical Chardonnay... lots of wind and drafts for very little emotion... the quality isn't there... The price is there... Pied Pipers

24/02/2026: I never leave reviews, but this time I think it's important to say that this restaurant is family-run, excellent, and the portions are huge.
We also don't understand the negative reviews. It's a really great place.
10/01/2026: The pizzas were delicious! We ordered them by phone and they were ready as soon as we arrived. The price was reasonable for pizzas, the vegetarian one was generously topped with grilled vegetables, and the crust was perfect. I highly recommend this place!

26/06/2026: Le Régalivou is a restaurant in a beautiful Alpine setting with plenty of outdoor seating in the charming village of St. Etienne. The locals in this town raved about this restaurant and we were, honestly, a little skeptical because on our last French Alpine villages tour, we had a hard time finding good meals. This was such a nice surprise. We started with a cheese board and a greens salad that had fried cheese, tomatoes. Both were delicious. I ordered a vegetarian pizza, that had a very thin crispy crust, all the toppings were well balanced and flavorful. One of my favorite pizzas ever, made by a master of a chef Timothée. We also all loved our friendly waiter, Alexander, who served all eleven of us in such a friendly and efficient manner.
Other dishes our table ordered and enjoyed are the Magret de canard rôti the canard, entrecôte, and vegetarian burger. By the way, we didn't stay at the hotel, we just ate at the restaurant.

08/07/2025: The room is extremely small, the bed uncomfortable, the bathroom dirty, the shower drain blocked, the kitchen fan was loud all night long... we hardly slept a wink, and the €15 per person breakfast was a joke... once and never again!!
28/06/2025: The hotel is admittedly a little run-down, but it has its charm. Above all, it has a very friendly, young team who are attentive to their customers. A big thank you to the young woman who welcomed us and took care of our rooms, as well as the young man at the bar and restaurant, who, despite their young age, are extremely good at their jobs.
