Le Chamois sur Saint-Etienne-Du-Rouvray

Restaurant located opposite the Zénith concert hall. The interior is a bit cluttered with paper flowers; a more "chalet" style decor would be nice. As for the food, the two savory buckwheat crepes were good, but be careful with the cooking; the scallops were dry and overcooked. The two sweet sweet crepes were delicious. What really hurts is the price: 26 euros for a scallop crepe—as expensive as meat! Over 60 euros with a pitcher of cider! Where is the parking? It's also difficult to find; there are no signs.

While in the area, we ate at this restaurant two nights in a row (it was open in the evenings after the Zenith concerts). The setting is unique and very pleasant. The servers are welcoming, helpful, and attentive. The food is of good quality, especially the wood-fired beef. We tried several dishes and desserts and were not disappointed at all. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the generous portions. I highly recommend it and wouldn't hesitate to go back!

Food: The meat was excellent and cooked perfectly, with no strange burnt taste—a real treat! The fresh, bagged fries were good quality, quite common in many restaurants, but far from the best, though still acceptable. For dessert, the crepes were really good! The floating island dessert needs improvement; it's not worth €8. The cream was from a carton, and the egg was too dense and stingy. Considering the low cost and minimal effort, the dessert didn't live up to the price or the restaurant's reputation. Service: Absolutely perfect! Truly very friendly. Atmosphere: Very pretty. I was hoping for a more rustic feel inside, but there were too many flowers and trendy decorations, which hide and spoil much of the natural wood! Otherwise, overall a very pleasant meal. We will return.

The Lord's andouillette was very good, the salads were beautiful and they were not stingy with the scallops, it was great.

Located directly opposite the Zénith, convenient before or after a concert

While in the area for the French Championship, I went to this restaurant and had a wonderful meal. The meat was grilled over a wood fire, giving it an excellent smoky flavor. The side dishes were generous (though not visible in the photo), the service was impeccable, and the setting was picturesque and pleasant. I recommend it 2000%! If you're hesitating between this restaurant and the Italian one next door, I strongly advise you to choose this one and forget about the Italian one, as the waiters there shamelessly harass customers.
