Le Chamois sur Saint-Etienne-Du-Rouvray

Food: The meat was excellent and cooked perfectly, with no strange burnt taste—a real treat! The fresh, bagged fries were good quality, quite common in many restaurants, but far from the best, though still acceptable. For dessert, the crepes were really good! The floating island dessert needs improvement; it's not worth €8. The cream was from a carton, and the egg was too dense and stingy. Considering the low cost and minimal effort, the dessert didn't live up to the price or the restaurant's reputation. Service: Absolutely perfect! Truly very friendly. Atmosphere: Very pretty. I was hoping for a more rustic feel inside, but there were too many flowers and trendy decorations, which hide and spoil much of the natural wood! Otherwise, overall a very pleasant meal. We will return.

The Lord's andouillette was very good, the salads were beautiful and they were not stingy with the scallops, it was great.

While in the area for the French Championship, I went to this restaurant and had a wonderful meal. The meat was grilled over a wood fire, giving it an excellent smoky flavor. The side dishes were generous (though not visible in the photo), the service was impeccable, and the setting was picturesque and pleasant. I recommend it 2000%! If you're hesitating between this restaurant and the Italian one next door, I strongly advise you to choose this one and forget about the Italian one, as the waiters there shamelessly harass customers.

Went with some trepidation after reading other reviews. Even more so when a coach load arrived 5 minutes after is. But the service was good and the food and drinks arrived quickly. Super service and pleasant food. Air-conditioning was much appreciated.

Discovered this restaurant on my way out of the hotel—what a find! Upon entering, you're greeted by a decor adorned with wood, creating such a warm and inviting atmosphere. The menu is simple (and sometimes that's for the best!), and the prices are on the higher end of average. The service was impeccable. The waitress was attentive and very pleasant. She really listened to my needs. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, which featured excellent meat cooked to perfection. I had initially ordered a peppercorn sauce, but the waitress suggested a homemade Béarnaise sauce, which won me over completely! All of this was accompanied by a delicious 2007 wine. I highly recommend it.

A warm and inviting restaurant with a lovely mountain atmosphere. The dishes are generous and delicious, especially the raclettes and fondues. Friendly service and a convivial setting, perfect for a meal with friends or family!
