Les meilleurs restaurants en Saint-Etienne-Du-Rouvray

20/01/2026: Unjustified price of €120 for a 4-star hotel. The room was large and clean, but ugly. Outdated furniture. Bathroom in need of repair... All-you-can-eat breakfast for €20. Given the limited selection, we opted for the express breakfast at €9.50, served by the staff: we received a miserable sliver of baguette, not even fresh (the only choice offered was one pastry or one piece of baguette), a ridiculously tiny Lilliputian coffee, one yogurt, jam, butter, and honey, all served in equally microscopic quantities. The gluten-free bread offered was industrially produced and vacuum-packed, so I took the very dense baguette instead... Since we didn't order the buffet, we were told to take a seat and had to wait 15 minutes to be served. We are used to traveling, whether in 2-star or 4-star hotels. This Novotel is far inferior to all the B&Bs we've stayed at, which are much cheaper and have very decent breakfasts. When we returned the keys, they didn't even ask if we were satisfied with the service. They simply don't care, because it's a forced sale, given their prime location near the Zénith concert hall. In short, don't waste your money, and avoid it, especially the breakfast, because even at €9.50, it's a rip-off. You'll get better for the same price at a B&B or other hotels right next door, which are just as well located. There's absolutely no added value compared to a 4-star hotel. Luckily, we avoided the exorbitant restaurant prices the day before; otherwise, it would have been a terrible stay.

21/12/2025: Excellent location and lovely surroundings. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and the food is delicious. Breakfast is superb, always served with a smile and excellent service by Catherine and Marie-Laure. My husband and I always enjoy staying here for work when we come to Normandy.

16/04/2026: Incredible!! We came on Saturday, April 4th with my mother before the Star Academy concert. McDonald's was already very busy at 6:02 PM. There was little wait at the self-service kiosk despite a slight issue with the receipt roll. By 6:14 PM we had finished our order and were seated. By 6:16 PM, we were already being served. By 6:32 PM we had already left McDonald's to make room for others, as there was a small queue outside. We weren't asked to leave; we simply left on our own. I must emphasize the excellent and rapid quality of service, especially considering how busy the fast-food restaurant was at an unusual time for eating in France. Well done!

13/04/2026: Zero stars!!! No service tonight. At the same time, unpleasant, and extremely expensive for a galette. Really disappointed!!

11/04/2026: This restaurant was a disappointment. Although my galette was very nice my husband ordered the Entrecôte steak which was really tough and chewy. The waiter came back with a free liqueur as he could see what the meat was like that was left on the plate! Hard to complain as there were a lot of French local people in there. I would say that a few people thought nothing of talking very loudly on their mobile phones as well. Very nicely decorated restaurant - just need to maybe source their meat from a better supplier
