Passing through Angoulême, we hesitated to go into this brasserie after reading some of the reviews, but we ended up eating there and we have no regrets. The staff was very friendly, the food was simple—which is to be expected in a brasserie—but it was very good. My husband had an excellent ribeye steak cooked exactly as he requested. If we have the chance, we'll definitely go back.

The place is nice, especially on the terrace in spring when the weather is good. However, the waiter didn't seem to be in the mood to serve (or he was overwhelmed), but it was difficult to get his attention to place an order.
The restrooms were clean.
