Le Chien de Pavlov sur Bordeaux

On reste sur notre fin, nous avons pris le menu à 38€. Les propositions d'entrées étaient appétissantes, carpachio de Bar et Veau, un très beau visuel mais il manquait la saveur prononcé de l'épice. Le risotto végétarien n'avait pas de saveur, on avait l'impression que le riz avait été cuit à part... Le dessert au chocolat était sec et décevant. Cela manque de goût. On reste sur notre fin.

The 5-course tasting menu was incredible! Great value for money, the cooking of meat and fish is absolutely perfect. A memorable dinner on the small terrace in a quiet street in Bordeaux. To do again!

The food was very good. Unfortunately, if you don't know French and don't like to experiment, this is not the place for you. The menu comes on a board in French only and no translation is available (no wifi for translator).

AMAZING ! we took the discovery menu. This menu lives up to its name, we had a mix of flavors on each plate, with unusual textures. The servers were all very good, took the time to tell us in detail what we were going to eat.

Heard good things about this restaurant so booked for our recent visit to Bordeaux. On arrival we walked right through the restaurant, which wasn’t very busy, to find a member of staff to show us to our table. Eventually attracted the attention of a surly young girl who disinterestedly offered us a table and then another girl plopped a menu board opposite us. Eventually a waitress came over and, when we asked, explained that they also had a tasting menu (which we had wanted but weren’t initially told about). The 5 dishes were nicely presented, but severely lacking in flavour and seasoning. First 2 were just a bit wet/sloppy with not much to them, tuna dish was nice but not great, veal dish was very bland and had a smoky spinach purée that overpowered everything. Dessert wasn’t bad but, again, a bit wet. Also, when we got the bill they had charged 9 euros for 2 bottles of tap water supposedly micro-filtered! Yeah, right! No one charges for tap water anymore so that was a rip-off. Overall a shame as it certainly didn’t live up to the hype food-wise and service was pretty poor

Privatized bar during an evening with sports club, great discovery, the staff is very active, responsive and pleasant. Very nice place

The evening meal was good, the service also very good, however I am not giving it 4 or 5 stars because we found that the plates were not full enough despite the fairly high price. The quantity/price ratio needs to be reviewed.

It looks like this place have seen better days, it needs a spring cleaning and a touch-up (both physically and staffing wise). The service was okay but I can't imagine that gentleman when there are more than 3 tables. The food was alright but with the service and atmosphere taken into account, it was overpriced.

I can fully recommend this restaurant. The service was bilingual and very accommodating. Every dish tasted very good and the wine advice was excellent. All in all a very successful evening.

An excellent experience, discovery menu, refined and quality cuisine, remarkable value for money, very very attentive and courteous service, an excellent address given to me by my son's cooking teacher on the Lac campus, I I cannot recommend
