Le Clos Bernard sur Les Allues

Superb place, the setting is exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and had a wonderful time.

My wife and I went for lunch on Monday. The menu was limited, as advertised. It was good, but nothing special. The portions were generous, though. I had left my cap on the table, so I used their contact form to tell them which table I was sitting at and that I had left my cap there, asking them to contact me if they found it. I received no reply. We went back the next day to see if they had found my cap. They had. We decided to give them a second chance and ordered the "mountain platter," which turned out to be extremely disappointing. We've had some very good charcuterie here in Méribel; this was barely edible. The location is fantastic, the servers are friendly, but the food needs serious improvement.

I'd heard about this place during the winter, but hadn't had the chance to visit, so I finally gave it a go this summer and I wasn't disappointed. The setting is enchanting, nestled among the fir trees, and incredibly peaceful. Le Clos Bernard isn't just a restaurant, it's an experience! I treated myself to their cocktails (the Soleil des Alpes mocktail was amazing) and even a massage. I'll definitely be back with the kids, given the activities they offer (bouncy castles, pony rides), and with friends for laser tag! Thank you to the whole team for the warm welcome!

We came to Clos Bernard for the children's afternoon snack and a visit to the associated mini-farm. The place is charming, nestled in the forest, and very well equipped for children (sandpit, bouncy castles, pony rides available - some activities are an extra charge). We only tried the snack bar, so I don't have much to say about the restaurant beyond that, but the snack on the terrace was very pleasant. And a huge thank you to the activity leader (I think it was Johanna) who gave us the tour of the mini-farm. Her explanations were excellent, she was great with the children, and she managed the group very well, ensuring everyone had a fair turn in the enclosures (even the shyer ones). This activity leader was absolutely fantastic! A big thumbs up!

We celebrated our wedding at Clos Bernard. Everything was magical! The quality of the food, the service, and the setting were exceptional. Having already come in both summer and winter for a pine-flavored beer or a meal, we will continue the tradition.

My partner and I decided to discover Clos Bernard as soon as it opened this summer. The smiling and welcoming staff accompanied us from beginning to end! We thoroughly enjoyed the meat and octopus. To pay, we went inside, and the two chefs in front of the fireplace also greeted us with huge smiles! To our surprise, it was quite busy for this first weekend. The activities brought life to the place, whether it was their mini-farm, the ponies, or their bouncy castle, but they didn't detract from the tranquility of the place, which is very pleasant for spending a Sunday! My partner even treated herself to a massage, which was also a very enjoyable experience! Thank you again to them and the whole team; we couldn't have hoped for a better Sunday.

Visited two times for dinner, in 2024 and 2026. The food was exceptional every time. The only setback this year, was one dish with meat wasn't very good. The interesting and fun thing for us was the experience of accessing the restaurant. When you arrive, they offer you glu wine and then you walk with torches in the snow to the restaurant. If you can't do that, you are transfered with a carriage dragged by horses. It is fun and it adds to the whole rustic dining experience.

In the mountains, not far from Merbel airfield, on your left as you go up, you'll find an idyllic setting for a meal, nestled among the fir trees. A must-see.
