Set in a magnificent location, this restaurant lives up to all its promises. We received a very warm welcome, the food was delicious, and the service was impeccable. An exceptional experience in a cozy atmosphere; we highly recommend it.

Top-notch quality – I had the perfectly cooked pigeon for my main course this time – complemented by a very proper yet genuinely friendly welcome. You'll feel right at home here. It's in a somewhat remote corner of Montagne, but once you've been, you'll definitely want to return.

We spent three weeks throughout France and ate at over thirty restaurants and only this one we are still talking about a week later.. Exquisite is the word. A friendly atmosphere and perfect service. Also eschew the wine list, the house wine from their neighbours is fantastic and we’re trying to import a case. Make reservations this place delights!!

A superb discovery! Just a few minutes from Saint Emilion, the food is excellent, and the owners are absolutely adorable. We will definitely be back.

A wonderful discovery of this restaurant, recommended by our host. Everything was perfect: the dinner was excellent and of high quality. As for the welcome and service, we couldn't imagine anything more welcoming. In short, a wonderful experience that we were delighted to discover. Congratulations to the owners of this beautiful place. I hope we'll return soon.

06/09/2024: I found a great little gem in Montagne, Saint-Emilion. The food was excellent, as was the service. My Rump steak dish was cooked perfectly (medium), and it was not tough but rather juicy. It came with an adequate amount of nicely fried thin chips and French style green beans. It was great! My wife's chicken dish was also excellent. The owner/waiter provided a great suggestion for a local red wine from Montagne (that went well with my Rump steak but also my wife's chicken dish), as well as a fantastic suggestion of a selection of cheeses for dessert. This place is a great place for tasty local French food that local people want to eat (and tasty local wines to go along with the great food), ... as well as us visitors to the area (wanting a change from gourmet styled affairs). I so recommend this restaurant (and I recommend asking the owner/waiter for suggestions - he speaks excellent English!). Great value for the money. Too bad the weather wasn't good enough to eat outside.
