Excellent meals! We tried different dishes twice, and they were absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this establishment. Joy, good humor, and smiles are always present to welcome and serve you. A warm and inviting place. Whether you're having a drink, a coffee, or simply eating and relaxing, at any time during their available hours, you'll rarely be turned away.

A very good and varied restaurant, and relatively inexpensive. It has a terrace which I imagine is more pleasant in summer, and plenty of space inside. Everything we ate was delicious and plentiful, from the appetizers to the dessert. Plus, it has long opening hours. We arrived late for lunch on a Sunday, and the kitchen was still open.

We had a great time today. The service was a little slow, but the waiters and waitresses were very pleasant. The products are fresh and very good... I recommend the smoked salmon 10000%, it's absolutely excellent!

Passing through the area, we were very pleased with this brasserie. Excellent value for money. Friendly service. They had a very good financier, which wasn't on the menu but I saw on the bar when I arrived. I will definitely return.

Brasserie La Cathédrale

27/02/2026: A successful transformation at La Cathédrale! The new Parisian-style broth is a delight for the taste buds. The place retains all its charm, ideal for a business lunch or a romantic dinner, well laid out, clean, and tidy. Soissons' must-visit restaurant is getting a makeover in 2026. While we wait for warmer weather to enjoy the terrace.
13/02/2026: A short stay in the capital of the Frankish kingdom under Clovis for administrative reasons at the courthouse, with a schedule that ultimately forced us to have lunch in Soissons. We found this restaurant near the cathedral, which had transformed into a veritable soup kitchen, with a wide selection of affordable dishes such as egg mayonnaise, fish and chips, Flemish carbonnade, crème brûlée... but 😣 no cassoulet with Soissons beans. Generous portions, enough for lunch, excellent value for money. The only slight downside: my fish and chips and homemade fries were mistakenly served to another table, so I had to wait a bit, but the accompanying sauce was absolutely divine. Clearly, the place is well-known, as it filled up very quickly by 12:30 pm. A very enjoyable lunch, despite the damp winter weather!

La Bourse aux Grains

17/04/2026: We came here to eat and ordered two burgers. My fiancée's was very good, and mine was also quite good overall. You can tell the ingredients are high quality: even the chips we had as an appetizer were homemade, which is a really nice touch. The homemade fries are excellent, too. The only downside to my burger was that the bacon wasn't cooked enough; it was practically raw, just warmed through. The cheese, meanwhile, wasn't really melted, just placed on top and slightly warmed. It's a shame, because the bacon should have been cooked properly, and the cheese melted to complement the rest. Cooking pork requires special attention for hygiene reasons, and it's usually a basic principle in cooking. When I mentioned it to the waitress, she simply replied that "to err is human." I didn't find that response very professional. It was still a good experience overall, but this aspect needs improvement.
15/04/2026: Always a pleasure. A reliable restaurant. Traditional menu; warm atmosphere; pleasant terrace; professional staff.
